3. Setup
The MageGee LIGHT87 keyboard offers three connection methods: USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0.
3.1. USB-C Wired Connection
- Locate the USB-C port on the keyboard and the USB-A port on your computer.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the USB-A end to your computer.
- Ensure the mode switch on the keyboard is set to the wired mode (usually indicated by a '2' or a cable icon).
- The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your system and ready for use.
3.2. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver, typically stored in a compartment on the keyboard.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Toggle the mode switch on the keyboard to the 2.4G wireless mode (usually indicated by a '4' or a wireless icon).
- The keyboard should automatically connect to the receiver. If not, press Fn + 4 to initiate pairing.
3.3. Bluetooth 5.0 Connection
The keyboard can connect to up to three Bluetooth devices.
- Toggle the mode switch on the keyboard to the Bluetooth mode (usually indicated by 'BT').
- To enter pairing mode for a specific slot, press and hold Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 for 3-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly.
- On your device (PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
- Select "MageGee LIGHT87" (or similar name) from the list of available devices to pair.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. RGB Backlight Control
The LIGHT87 keyboard features extensive RGB backlighting customization.
- Fn + Enter: Toggle between approximately 20 different backlit modes.
- Fn + ← / →: Adjust backlit colors (for modes that support color changes).
- Fn + ↑ / ↓: Control backlit brightness (increase/decrease).
- Fn + =+ / _-: Adjust backlit speed (increase/decrease animation speed).

4.2. Battery Management
The keyboard is equipped with an 8000mAh large-capacity battery.
- Battery Life: Approximately 53 hours with RGB backlight on, and approximately 400 hours with RGB backlight off.
- Charging: Connect the keyboard via the USB-C cable to a power source (computer USB port or wall adapter). The indicator light will show charging status.
- Sleep Standby Time: Up to 450 hours. The keyboard will enter sleep mode after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.

4.3. Hot-Swappable Switches
The LIGHT87 keyboard features hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to change switches without soldering.
- The keyboard supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches.
- To remove a switch, use the provided switch puller tool. Gently grip the switch and pull upwards.
- To install a new switch, align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.

5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your keyboard.
5.1. Cleaning
- General Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keyboard surface.
- Keycap Cleaning: For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps using the provided keycap puller. Clean keycaps with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.
- Dust Removal: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps and under the switches.
5.2. Keycap and Switch Replacement
As the keyboard is hot-swappable, you can easily replace keycaps and switches.
- Always use the appropriate tools (keycap puller, switch puller) to avoid damaging the keyboard or components.
- When replacing switches, ensure the new switch pins are straight before inserting them into the socket.
6. Troubleshooting
