Operating
Key Functions
The Bewinner 60% keyboard features 68 keys, providing a compact layout while retaining essential functions. Standard alphanumeric keys, modifiers (Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Win), and function keys (F1-F12 accessible via Fn combinations) are present.
Backlight and Lighting Modes
The keyboard is equipped with an ice blue backlight and offers 20 different lighting modes. These modes can be cycled through using specific key combinations, typically involving the Fn key and other designated keys (refer to the keyboard's keycap legends for specific combinations, often indicated by icons).
Multimedia Functions
Multimedia controls (e.g., play/pause, volume up/down, next/previous track) are typically accessed by pressing the Fn key in combination with the corresponding F-keys or other designated keys. Consult the keycap legends for specific multimedia shortcuts.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Keyboard
- Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keycaps and keyboard surface.
- For deeper cleaning, use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the keyboard's finish or keycap legends.
Keycap Removal and Replacement
The keyboard features double color injection molded keycaps, ensuring durability and preventing character fade. To remove keycaps for cleaning or replacement:
- Use the provided keycap puller. Place the puller over the keycap you wish to remove, ensuring the wires hook onto opposite sides of the keycap.
- Gently pull upwards until the keycap detaches from the switch stem.
- To replace a keycap, align it with the switch stem and press down firmly until it clicks into place.
Hot-Swappable Switch Replacement
This keyboard features hot-swappable red switches, allowing you to easily replace individual switches without soldering. This is useful for customizing your typing feel or replacing a faulty switch.
- First, remove the keycap from the switch you intend to replace using the keycap puller.
- Use the switch puller (often integrated with the keycap puller or a separate tool) to grasp the top and bottom clips of the switch.
- Gently pull the switch straight up until it detaches from the PCB.
- To install a new switch, align its pins with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending.
- Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks. It should sit flush with the keyboard plate.
- Replace the keycap.

Troubleshooting
Keyboard Not Responding
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
- Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
- Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out a computer-specific issue.
- If possible, try a different USB Type-C cable to ensure the cable is not faulty.
Backlight Not Working or Flickering
- Check if the backlight is turned off or set to the lowest brightness level using the keyboard's function keys.
- Ensure the keyboard is receiving sufficient power from the USB port. Try a different port or a powered USB hub if available.
- If only specific keys are affected, it might indicate a faulty switch or LED. Consider replacing the hot-swappable switch.
Keys Not Registering or Double-Typing
- Remove the keycap and inspect the switch for any visible debris or damage. Clean the area with compressed air.
- Since the switches are hot-swappable, try replacing the problematic switch with one of the spare switches provided or a known good switch.
- Ensure the switch is fully seated in the PCB.
