1. Product Overview

The FL ESPORTS CMK98 is a versatile 99-key wireless mechanical keyboard designed for both Mac and Windows systems. It features a compact full-size layout with a number pad, offering enhanced productivity and a comfortable typing experience. This keyboard supports multiple connection methods and boasts a durable gasket structure.

3. Setup

3.1 Package Contents

Before setup, ensure all items are present:

• CMK98 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard
• USB-C Cable
• Keycap Puller
• Switch Puller
• 2.4GHz USB Receiver (located in the keyboard's storage slot)
• User Manual (this document)

3.2 Connecting the Keyboard

The CMK98 keyboard offers three connection modes: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired.

3.2.1 2.4GHz Wireless Mode

1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver stored in the dedicated slot on the underside of the keyboard.
2. Plug the 2.4GHz USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
3. On the keyboard's side, slide the mode switch to the 2.4GHz wireless icon position. The keyboard will automatically connect.

3.2.2 Bluetooth Mode

1. On the keyboard's side, slide the mode switch to the Bluetooth icon position.
2. The keyboard's indicator light will flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
3. On your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone), go to Bluetooth settings and search for "CMK98" or similar.
4. Select the keyboard to pair. Once connected, the indicator light will become solid.
5. To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, use the FN + key combination (e.g., FN + 1, FN + 2, FN + 3 for different profiles).

3.2.3 USB-C Wired Mode

1. Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to an available USB port on your computer.
3. On the keyboard's side, slide the mode switch to the wired (USB-C) icon position. The keyboard will be ready for use.

3.3 Operating System Switch

The CMK98 keyboard has a dedicated switch on its underside to toggle between Mac and Windows compatibility modes.

1. Locate the "MAC/WIN" switch on the bottom of the keyboard.
2. Slide the switch to the appropriate operating system (MAC or WIN) for optimal key mapping and functionality.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Keyboard Functions

The CMK98 functions as a standard 99-key keyboard with a full number pad. All keys perform their labeled functions by default.

4.2 RGB Backlighting Control

The keyboard features customizable RGB backlighting. Use the following key combinations to adjust lighting effects:

• FN + \ |: Cycle through different lighting modes.
• FN + ↑ / ↓: Adjust backlight brightness.
• FN + ← / →: Adjust lighting speed/direction.
• FN + Del: Change backlight color (for static modes).

4.3 Macro Programming and Customization

The CMK98 supports macro customization and key function remapping through its dedicated driver software. This software allows for advanced personalization of your keyboard experience.

• Download the official driver software from the FL ESPORTS website.
• Install the software on your computer.
• Follow the on-screen instructions within the software to create macros, remap keys, and set custom lighting effects.

4.4 Battery Status Check

To check the battery level in Bluetooth mode, press FN + Backspace. The keyboard's indicator lights will illuminate to show the remaining charge.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

• Disconnect the keyboard from all power sources and devices before cleaning.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and chassis.
• For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap puller to remove keycaps and a can of compressed air to clear debris from underneath.
• Do not immerse the keyboard in water or use harsh chemicals.

5.2 Replacing Switches and Keycaps

The CMK98 features hot-swappable switches, allowing for easy replacement without soldering.

1. Using the keycap puller, gently pull up on the keycap you wish to remove until it detaches from the switch stem.
2. Using the switch puller, align the prongs with the two clips on the top and bottom of the switch. Squeeze the clips and gently pull the switch straight up to remove it from the PCB.
3. To install a new switch, align its pins with the holes on the PCB. Press down firmly until the switch clicks into place. Ensure pins are straight to avoid bending.
4. Place the desired keycap onto the new switch stem and press down until it is securely seated.
