Before You Begin
- Location: Choose a location that is protected from freezing temperatures and is easily accessible for maintenance. Ensure the product size (19.21" W x 25.59" H) fits your intended space.
- Mounting: The unit can be installed independently or as a booster. Ensure the mounting surface can support the full weight of the water heater when filled with water (approximately 150 lbs for 18 gallons).
- Water Supply: Ensure a stable water supply with a maximum pressure of 150 PSI.
- Electrical Supply: The unit requires a 120V AC electrical supply.
Wiring Options
The MIZUDO water heater offers flexibility for electrical connection.

Water Connection
Connect the water heater to your plumbing system using 3/4" NPT water connections. The blue port is for cold water inlet, and the red port is for hot water outlet.
T&P Valve Installation
Install the provided Temperature and Pressure (T&P) relief valve into the designated port on the top of the water heater. Ensure it is properly sealed and directed to an appropriate drain.

Operating Your Water Heater
Powering On
After successful installation and filling the tank with water, connect the unit to the power supply. The indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the heater is active.
Adjusting Temperature
The water heater features an adjustable thermostat with a temperature range of 90°F to 150°F.

- Locate the thermostat protective cover on the front of the unit.
- Carefully remove the cover.
- Use the thermostat dial pointer to set your desired water temperature within the 90°F–150°F range.
- Replace the protective cover securely.

For the first use, allow approximately 60 minutes for the 18-gallon tank to heat water to the set temperature.

Draining the Tank

Cleaning
