Important Safeguards

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Clean: Before first use, wash the steaming baskets, lid, and grain tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
  3. Assemble: Place the base unit on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  4. Fill Water Tank: Pour clean water into the water tank of the base unit. Do not exceed the maximum fill line. The water tank capacity is 1300ml.
  5. Stack Baskets: Place the first steaming basket onto the base unit. Add food to the basket. Stack additional baskets as needed, placing food in each.
  6. Position Lid: Place the lid securely on the top steaming basket.
  7. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard 220V electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Food: Cut food into uniform pieces for even cooking. Place food in the steaming baskets, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
  2. Add Water: Ensure the water tank is filled to the appropriate level.
  3. Assemble Steamer: Stack the baskets with food and place the lid.
  4. Set Timer: Turn the control knob to the desired steaming time. The steamer will begin to generate steam rapidly.
  5. Monitor Cooking: The transparent baskets allow you to monitor the cooking process.
  6. Completion: Once the set time has elapsed, the steamer will automatically turn off.
  7. Serve: Carefully remove the lid (steam will be hot) and then the steaming baskets using oven mitts. Serve food immediately.
  8. Refilling Water During Operation: If steaming for extended periods, you may need to refill the water tank. Use caution when refilling during operation as steam will be hot.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your steamer.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the steamer from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wash Removable Parts: The steaming containers, grain tray, and lid are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
  3. Clean Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
  4. Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up in the water tank. To descale, fill the water tank with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Run the steamer for 20-30 minutes. Unplug, allow to cool, then empty and rinse the tank thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.
  5. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. Store the steamer in a cool, dry place.
