Controls and Ports:

Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the radio's internal 2000mAh rechargeable battery. A full charge provides approximately 6-10 hours of operation.

  1. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the radio's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator on the display will show charging status. It will indicate full charge when complete.

2. Inserting a TF Card (Optional)

To use the MP3 player function, insert a TF (MicroSD) card into the designated slot on the radio.

  1. Locate the TF card slot on the side of the radio.
  2. Gently insert the TF card with the metal contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. To remove, push the card in slightly until it springs out.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power/Mode button to turn the radio on or off.

2. Switching Modes

Short press the Power/Mode button to cycle through available modes: FM Radio, AM Radio, Bluetooth Speaker, and TF Card MP3 Player.

3. Radio Mode (AM/FM)

In FM or AM mode:

  • Tuning: Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to manually tune to a specific frequency.
  • Automatic Scan: Press the SCAN button to automatically scan for available stations. The radio will save up to 99 stations.
  • Accessing Presets: Use the M- and M+ buttons to navigate through saved preset stations.
  • Antenna: Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal signal reception, especially in FM mode.

4. Bluetooth Speaker Mode

To use the radio as a Bluetooth speaker:

  1. Switch the radio to Bluetooth mode (display will show "BT").
  2. On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, search for "J-618" in the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Select "J-618" to pair. Once paired, you can play audio from your device through the radio's speaker.

5. MP3 Player Mode (TF Card)

If a TF card with MP3 files is inserted, the radio will automatically switch to MP3 mode or you can select it using the Mode button.

  • Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to skip tracks.
  • The radio supports playback modes such as repeat and shuffle. Refer to the display for options.

6. Headphone Connection

The PRUNUS J-618 offers both wireless and wired headphone options.

  • Bluetooth Headphones: Follow the Bluetooth pairing steps (Section 4) to connect your Bluetooth headphones. This allows for tangle-free listening.
  • Wired Headphones: Plug any standard 3.5mm wired headphones (not included) into the headphone jack on the radio.

7. Sleep Timer Function

The sleep timer allows the radio to automatically turn off after a set period.

  1. Press the SLEEP button.
  2. Repeatedly press the SLEEP button to cycle through the available timer options: 10, 15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes.
  3. The radio will automatically power off after the selected time.

8. Lock Button

To prevent accidental button presses, especially when carrying the radio in a pocket or bag, use the lock button. Locate the small lock switch on the side of the radio and slide it to the locked position. Slide it back to unlock.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the radio's exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for a long period, charge the battery to about 50% and recharge every few months.
  • Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Water Exposure: The radio is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to water or high humidity.

Troubleshooting
