Product Overview

The OPPSK 180W RGBW Par Light is a compact and powerful lighting fixture designed for various applications. It features 18 high-brightness LEDs capable of producing a wide spectrum of colors through RGBW (Red, Green, Blue, White) mixing.

Setup

1. Mounting the Brackets:

  1. Attach the provided brackets to the sides of the par light using the included knobs and screws.
  2. Ensure the brackets are securely fastened.
  3. The dual handle design allows for various mounting configurations:
    • Truss Mount: Use appropriate clamps (not included) to attach the light to a lighting truss.
    • Wall/Ceiling Mount: Secure the brackets to a sturdy surface using suitable hardware (not included).
    • Floor Stand: Position the light on a flat surface, adjusting the angle with the brackets.

2. Power Connection:

  • Connect the included power cable to the power input on the back of the fixture.
  • Plug the other end of the power cable into a standard 110V AC grounded outlet.
  • The light will power on automatically.

3. Initial Power-On:

Upon connecting power, the LCD display on the back of the unit will illuminate, and the light will typically enter an automatic mode or the last used mode.

Operating Modes

The OPPSK Par Light offers multiple operating modes, which can be selected via the LCD display on the back panel or the included remote control.

  • Auto-Play Mode: The light cycles through various pre-programmed color changes and effects automatically.
  • Static Color Mode: Select a single, constant color (Red, Green, Blue, White, or mixed colors).
  • Color Changing Mode: Colors transition smoothly from one to another.
  • Color Fading Mode: Colors fade in and out.
  • Strobing Mode: The light flashes rapidly.
  • Sound-Activated Mode: The light reacts to ambient sound or music, changing patterns and colors in sync with the beat.
  • Master-Slave Mode: Link multiple par lights together. One unit acts as the master, controlling all other slave units to synchronize effects.
  • DMX Control Mode: For professional control using a DMX controller.

DMX Control

The OPPSK Par Light supports DMX512 protocol, allowing for precise control via an external DMX controller. It offers 4-channel and 8-channel modes.

Connecting DMX:

  1. Connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller's output to the DMX IN port of the first par light.
  2. To daisy-chain multiple lights, connect a DMX cable from the DMX OUT port of the first light to the DMX IN port of the next light, and so on.
  3. Set the DMX address for each fixture using the LCD display and buttons. Ensure each fixture has a unique starting address.
  4. Select the desired DMX channel mode (4CH or 8CH) on each fixture.

Remote Control

The included IR remote control provides convenient wireless access to various functions and modes.

Remote Functions:

  • ON/OFF: Powers the light on or off.
  • R/G/B/W Buttons: Activates Red, Green, Blue, or White static colors.
  • Color Buttons: Selects various pre-mixed static colors.
  • AUTO: Activates Auto-Play mode.
  • FADE: Activates Color Fading mode.
  • JUMP: Activates Color Changing mode.
  • STROBE: Activates Strobing mode.
  • SOUND: Activates Sound-Activated mode.
  • +/- Buttons: Adjusts brightness, speed of effects, or sound sensitivity depending on the active mode.

Ensure the remote control has a clear line of sight to the front of the par light for optimal operation.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your OPPSK Par Lights.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the lens and exterior casing with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Fan Cleaning: Ensure the cooling fan and vents are free from dust and debris to maintain proper airflow and prevent overheating.
  • Cable Inspection: Regularly check power and DMX cables for any signs of damage, fraying, or loose connections. Replace damaged cables immediately.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the lights in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in their original packaging or a protective case.

Always disconnect the power before performing any cleaning or maintenance.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your OPPSK Par Lights, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
