Understanding your indoor air quality is crucial for overall health, sleep, and comfort. The View Plus helps you track pollutants and contaminants before they become a problem, offering powerful peace of mind.

Setup Guide

Setting up your Airthings View Plus is quick and easy. Follow these steps to get your device up and running:

  1. Download the Airthings App: Search for "Airthings" in your device's app store (available on iOS and Android) and create an account.
  2. Activate the Monitor: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the View Plus. Remove the plastic battery tab to activate the pre-installed 6 AA batteries.
  3. Place Your Device: Place your View Plus in any room where you want to monitor air quality. It's ideal for family rooms, bedrooms, or kitchens. Ensure it's placed at least 3 feet (90 cm) away from windows, doors, or heating/cooling vents to avoid skewed measurements. Do not place it in areas where humidity can exceed 85%, such as a bathroom, as this can permanently damage the radon sensor.
  4. Add Device to App: Open the Airthings app, select 'Add device', and follow the on-screen instructions. Your phone will find the View Plus using Bluetooth.
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi: The app will guide you through connecting your View Plus to your home Wi-Fi network. This enables continuous monitoring and data access from anywhere.
  6. Optional USB Power: For perpetual power and to activate hub functionality (allowing other Airthings Wave monitors to stay online), you can plug the device into a wall outlet using the included USB-C cable.
