Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Spurgehom Handheld Steam Cleaner.

  1. Empty Water Tank: After each use, and once the unit has cooled down, carefully empty any remaining water from the tank. This prevents mineral buildup.
  2. Clean Accessories: Wash all removable accessories (brushes, nozzles, towel cover) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before storing.
  3. Wipe Down Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit and handheld sprayer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. Descaling (Monthly/As Needed): Depending on water hardness, mineral deposits may build up inside the unit.
    • Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and distilled water.
    • Pour the solution into the water tank (do not fill completely).
    • Allow it to sit for 30 minutes to an hour (do not heat).
    • Empty the solution and rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water several times.
    • Run a tank of clean water through the unit to flush out any remaining vinegar residue.
  5. Storage: Store the steam cleaner and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the power cord is neatly wrapped.
