2. Setup and First Use
2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection
Upon receiving your GetD AI Smart Sunglasses, carefully unbox the contents. Ensure all items listed in the 'What's in the Box' section (Section 6) are present. Remove any protective films from the lenses before use.

2.2 Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge your smart sunglasses. Use the provided magnetic charging cable. Connect the magnetic end to the charging port on the sunglasses and the USB end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or computer USB port. A full charge typically takes approximately two hours.
2.3 Bluetooth Pairing
The GetD AI Smart Sunglasses utilize Bluetooth 5.4 for stable connectivity. They are compatible with both iPhone and Android devices.
- Ensure the sunglasses are charged.
- Turn on the sunglasses. They will automatically enter pairing mode or attempt to reconnect to the last paired device.
- On your smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
- Search for available devices and select "GetD GD20" (or similar name) from the list.
- Once connected, the sunglasses will indicate successful pairing (e.g., via an audio prompt).
To re-pair with a different device or force pairing mode, hold both temple sensors simultaneously until the pairing indicator is active.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off and Smart Detection
The sunglasses feature a smart detection function. They will automatically power on when worn and power off approximately 3 minutes after being removed. This feature also pauses audio playback when removed and resumes when worn again.

3.2 Audio Playback and Calls
Enjoy open-ear audio with dual sound outlets for enhanced stereo effects. The integrated ENC noise reduction microphone ensures clear hands-free calls.
- Music Playback: Once paired, audio from your device will play through the sunglasses.
- Answering/Ending Calls: Use the touch controls on the temples to answer or end calls.
- Volume Control: Adjust volume via your connected device.

3.3 Voice Control and AI Features
The sunglasses support wake-up voice control, allowing hands-free operation of your phone within 10 meters. Blind touch operation provides convenient control for driving, calls, and switching songs.
The AI features include real-time translation for 147 languages, AI-powered multilingual conference recording, and an AI chat mode. Face-to-face translation is also supported.

3.4 Eye Protection
The GD20 features high-quality nylon polarized lenses with UV400 protection. These lenses effectively block harmful UV rays and reduce blue light exposure, providing superior clarity and comfort in various lighting conditions.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal clarity and extend the life of your lenses, clean them regularly with the provided microfiber cleaning cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a lens cleaning spray specifically designed for eyewear. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could damage the lenses or frame.
4.2 Storage
When not in use, store your GetD AI Smart Sunglasses in their protective case to prevent scratches and damage. Avoid exposing the sunglasses to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this can affect battery life and material integrity.
4.3 Battery Care
The sunglasses are equipped with a 260mAh high-quality battery designed for over 1,000 charge cycles. To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, especially if it will not be used for an extended period.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Connectivity Issues
- Cannot Pair: Ensure the sunglasses are charged and within 10 meters of your device. Try holding both temple sensors simultaneously to force pairing mode.
- Frequent Disconnections: Ensure no obstacles are between the sunglasses and your device. Move closer to your device. Check for interference from other wireless devices.
5.2 Touch Control Sensitivity
The touch controls on the temples are designed to be responsive. In some instances, they may appear overly sensitive. Be mindful of accidental touches, especially when adjusting the glasses or if moisture (e.g., sweat) is present on the temples. This behavior is part of the design and requires careful handling.
5.3 Auto On/Off Behavior
The smart detection feature automatically turns the glasses on when worn and off when removed. If the glasses turn on unexpectedly when not fully worn, it may be due to slight movement triggering the sensor. This is normal operation for the auto-on feature.
5.4 Audio Quality
The open-ear design prioritizes situational awareness. While suitable for calls, podcasts, and audiobooks, the sound quality for music may not match that of in-ear headphones, particularly in noisy environments. This is an inherent characteristic of open-ear audio technology.
