1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before operating the toaster.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or toaster in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  • Do not operate unattended.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  3. First Use: Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest browning setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Allow the toaster to cool completely.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Toasting

  1. Insert Bread: Place up to four slices of bread, bagels, or other items into the wide toast slots.
  2. Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting, from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest). Refer to Image 5.2 for guidance on browning levels.
  3. Start Toasting: Press the pop-up lever down until it locks into place. The blue LED indicator for the CANCEL button will illuminate. The toasting cycle will begin.
  4. Automatic Pop-up: Once the selected browning level is reached, the toast will automatically pop up, and the toaster will turn off.
  5. Retrieve Toast: Carefully remove the toasted items. The high-lift lever allows for easier retrieval of smaller items.

5.2 Browning Settings

The toaster offers 6 browning levels to suit individual preferences:

  • Setting 1 (70 seconds): Very light toast.
  • Setting 2 (100 seconds): Light golden.
  • Setting 3 (120 seconds): Medium golden.
  • Setting 4 (140 seconds): Dark golden.
  • Setting 5 (170 seconds): Dark brown.
  • Setting 6 (210 seconds): Very dark, crisp.

5.3 Special Functions

  • BAGEL Mode:

    After inserting bagels and pressing the lever down, press the BAGEL button. The blue LED will illuminate. This mode toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer side.

  • DEFROST Mode:

    After inserting frozen bread and pressing the lever down, press the DEFROST button. The blue LED will illuminate. This mode thaws and then toasts frozen items to your selected browning level.

  • CANCEL Function:

    To stop the toasting cycle at any point, press the CANCEL button. The lever will pop up, and the toaster will turn off.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Crumb Tray: Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Discard accumulated crumbs. Wash the tray with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before reinserting.
  3. Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface. Ensure the toaster is completely dry before plugging it back in.
  4. Interior: Do not insert any objects into the toast slots to clean. If food becomes lodged, unplug the toaster and carefully invert it to shake out the food.

7. Troubleshooting
