1. Safety Information

3. Setup and Assembly

The HONBAY Modular Sectional Sleeper Sofa is designed for easy assembly without complex tools. It is recommended that two people assist with assembly.

3.1 Unpacking and Preparation

1. Carefully unpack all components from their boxes. Retain packaging materials until assembly is complete.
2. Locate all hardware and ensure no parts are missing.
3. For vacuum-sealed cushions: Unzip the cushion covers and remove the foam inserts (keeping them in their muslin inner covers). Place the foam inserts in a dryer on a low heat setting for 30-40 minutes to help them fluff up. Alternatively, allow 48 hours for them to expand naturally.

3.2 Module Assembly

The sofa modules connect using built-in component connectors. No additional tools are typically required for connecting the main sections.

1. Attach the legs to the bottom of each module by screwing them into the pre-drilled holes.
2. Position the first two modules you wish to connect. Align the metal connectors on the sides of the modules.
3. Slide the modules together firmly until the connectors interlock and the modules are securely joined.
4. Repeat this process for all remaining modules and armrests to form your desired configuration.
5. Place the seat and back cushions onto their respective modules. The cushions attach with Velcro to prevent shifting.

4.1 Converting to Sleeper Bed

To convert the sofa into a sleeper bed:

1. Locate the pull-out bed module.
2. Gently pull the handle on the front of the module to extend the bed frame outwards.
3. Lift the extended section upwards.
4. Press down firmly to lock it into place, creating a flat sleeping surface.

To revert to sofa mode, reverse these steps: lift the bed section slightly, push it down to unlock, and slide it back into the sofa base.

4.2 Utilizing Storage Seats

Several modules of your sectional sofa include hidden storage compartments. To access them:

1. Lift the seat cushion of the desired storage module.
2. The lid will open to reveal the storage space beneath.
3. Close the lid securely after use.

4.3 Modular Customization

• Vacuuming: Regularly vacuum the sofa using an upholstery attachment to remove dust, crumbs, and pet hair. The corduroy fabric is designed to prevent pet hair from intertwining, making it easy to clean.
