5. Setup and Installation

1. Connect the 4-pin output of the WiFi controller to the corresponding 4-pin input of your RGBW LED strip. Ensure the V+, R, G, B, W pins on the controller align with the V+, R, G, B, W connections on the LED strip.
2. Connect a DC5V-24V power adapter to the DC input port of the WiFi controller.

5.2 App Download and Installation

To control your LED strip, you need to download the Smart Life application:

1. Search for "Smart Life" in your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).
2. Alternatively, scan the QR code provided in the product packaging or visit the official Smart Life app download page: https://smartapp.tuya.com/smartlife.
3. Download and install the application.
4. Register or log in to your Smart Life account.

5.3 Device Pairing

Once the app is installed and you are logged in:

1. Ensure your WiFi controller is powered on and within range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
2. Open the Smart Life app.
3. Click on "Direct connect the device control" or the "+" icon to add a new device.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to connect the controller to your Wi-Fi network. This typically involves putting the device into pairing mode (often indicated by a blinking light) and entering your Wi-Fi credentials.
5. Once successfully paired, you can rename the device for easier identification.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Using the Smart Life App

After successful pairing, you can control your LED strip via the Smart Life app:

• Color Adjustment: Select from a wide range of colors for your RGBW LED strip.
• Brightness Control: Adjust the brightness level to your preference (dimmable feature).
• Scene Modes: Choose from pre-set scenes or create custom lighting effects.

6.2 Voice Control

The controller supports voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Home. To enable this:

1. Link your Smart Life account to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app.
2. Discover devices in your Alexa/Google Home app.
3. Once discovered, you can use voice commands such as:
   • "Alexa, turn on [Device Name]"
   • "Hey Google, set [Device Name] to blue"
   • "Alexa, dim [Device Name] to 50%"

7. Troubleshooting

• Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The controller does not support 5GHz networks.
  • Check that the Wi-Fi password entered is correct.
  • Move the controller closer to your Wi-Fi router.

• LED strip not lighting up:
  • Verify all physical connections (power, controller to strip) are secure and correct.

• Voice control not working:
  • Confirm that your Smart Life account is correctly linked to Alexa/Google Home.
  • Ensure the device is discovered and named appropriately in your voice assistant app.
  • Check your internet connection.
