1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Vrabocry Tuya WiFi Smart Controller for single color LED strips. This controller enables smart control of your LED lighting through the Smart Life application, as well as voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Controller Overview

The Vrabocry Tuya WiFi Smart Controller is designed for DC5V-24V LED strips. Ensure your LED strip and power supply are compatible with these voltage requirements.

3.2 Wiring the LED Strip Controller

Follow these steps to connect the controller to your LED strip and power supply:

1. Identify Connections: The controller has a DC power input port and terminals for LED strip output. For a single color LED strip, connect the positive (+) and negative (-) wires from your LED strip to the corresponding V+ and V- terminals on the controller.
2. Connect LED Strip: Securely connect the LED strip wires to the controller's output terminals. Ensure polarity is correct (V+ to positive, V- to negative).
3. Connect Power Supply: Connect a compatible DC5V-24V power adapter to the DC power input port on the controller. Do not apply power until all connections are secure.

3.3 App Installation and Device Pairing

1. Download the App: Search for "Smart Life" in your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS), or scan the QR code provided in the product packaging or on the controller itself to download and install the application. You can also visit smartapp.tuya.com/smartlife.
2. Register/Log In: Open the Smart Life app and register for a new account or log in with an existing one.
3. Add Device: Power on the LED strip controller. In the Smart Life app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon. Select "Lighting" then "Strip Lights (Wi-Fi)" or similar.
4. Pairing Mode: The controller should be in pairing mode (often indicated by the LED strip flashing). If not, power cycle the controller (turn off and on) three times until the LED strip flashes rapidly.
5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the in-app instructions to connect the controller to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone is also connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during pairing.
6. Device Discovery: The app will discover and add the device. Once added, you can rename it for easier identification.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Smart Life App Control

Once the controller is successfully paired with the Smart Life app, you can control your single color LED strip from your smartphone:

• On/Off: Tap the power icon to turn the LED strip on or off.
• Dimming: Use the brightness slider to adjust the intensity of the light.
• Scheduling: Set timers or schedules for the LED strip to turn on or off automatically.
• Scenes: Create custom scenes for different lighting moods or activities.

4.2 Voice Control Integration

The controller supports voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Home. To enable this feature:

1. Link Accounts: In the Alexa or Google Home app, navigate to the "Skills" or "Works with Google" section. Search for "Smart Life" and enable the skill/service.
2. Authorize: Log in with your Smart Life account credentials to link the accounts.
3. Discover Devices: Ask Alexa or Google Home to discover new devices. Your LED strip controller should appear.
4. Voice Commands: You can now use voice commands such as:
   "Alexa, turn on [Device Name]"
   "Hey Google, dim [Device Name] to 50%"
   "Alexa, turn off [Device Name]"

5. Maintenance

The Vrabocry Tuya WiFi Smart Controller requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse the device in water.

6. Troubleshooting

• Device Not Connecting to Wi-Fi:
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The controller does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Verify your Wi-Fi password is correct.
  • Make sure the controller is in pairing mode (LED strip flashing rapidly). Power cycle the device three times if needed.
  • Move the controller closer to your Wi-Fi router during the pairing process.
• LED Strip Not Responding:
  • Check all wiring connections, especially the V+ and V- terminals, for secure contact and correct polarity.
  • Ensure the power adapter is functioning and providing the correct voltage (DC5V-24V).
  • Verify the LED strip itself is functional by testing it with a known working power source if possible.
• Voice Control Not Working:
  • Confirm that your Smart Life account is correctly linked to Alexa or Google Home.
  • Ensure the device name used in voice commands matches the name in the Smart Life app and the Alexa/Google Home app.
  • Try rediscovering devices in the Alexa or Google Home app.
