To connect the SSD:
- Select the appropriate cable (USB-C to C or USB-C to A) for your device.
- Plug the USB Type-C end of the cable into the port on the Netac ZX20L SSD.
- Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer, tablet, or mobile device.

5.2 Initial Recognition and Formatting
Upon connecting, your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android) should automatically detect the SSD. It may appear as an external drive in your file explorer or desktop.
- For Windows: The drive will typically appear under 'This PC' or 'My Computer'.
- For macOS: The drive will appear on your desktop or in Finder under 'Locations'.
- For Linux/Android: The drive will be mounted and accessible via your file manager.
The drive comes pre-formatted (e.g., exFAT) for broad compatibility. If you wish to use a different file system (e.g., NTFS for Windows, HFS+ or APFS for macOS), you will need to format the drive using your operating system's disk utility tools. Note: Formatting the drive will erase all data on it.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Data Transfer
The Netac ZX20L Portable SSD offers high-speed data transfer capabilities, with read speeds up to 2000MB/s and write speeds up to 1700MB/s. Actual speeds may vary depending on your host device, operating system, file size, and other factors.

Figure 6.1: High-Speed Transmission. The SSD supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, offering theoretical transmission speeds of up to 20Gbps.
To transfer files:
- Open your file manager (e.g., File Explorer on Windows, Finder on macOS).
- Locate the files or folders you wish to transfer.
- Drag and drop the files to the Netac ZX20L drive icon, or copy and paste them into the desired location on the SSD.

Figure 6.2: Reduced Waiting. The high read speed of up to 2000MB/s significantly reduces loading times for large files, video editing, and image rendering.
6.2 Storage Capacity
The 1TB capacity provides ample space for a wide range of content, including documents, photos, videos, and games.

6.3 Safely Disconnecting the SSD
To prevent data corruption, always safely eject the SSD before physically disconnecting it from your device.
- For Windows: Click the 'Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media' icon in the system tray, then select the Netac SSD.
- For macOS: Drag the drive icon to the Trash, or right-click the drive icon and select 'Eject'.
- For Linux/Android: Use the 'Eject' or 'Unmount' option in your file manager.
7. Maintenance
- Keep Clean: Wipe the exterior of the SSD with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Temperature: Store and operate the SSD within recommended temperature ranges (typically 0°C to 70°C or 32°F to 158°F).
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Netac official website for any available firmware updates for your model. Firmware updates can improve performance and stability.
- Data Backup: While SSDs are reliable, it is always recommended to back up important data to multiple locations to prevent data loss.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1 SSD Not Detected
- Check Cable Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the SSD and your device. Try a different USB port or the other provided cable.
- Restart Device: Sometimes a simple restart of your computer or device can resolve detection issues.
- Check Disk Management (Windows) / Disk Utility (macOS): Verify if the drive is recognized but not assigned a drive letter or needs initialization/formatting.
- Test on Another Device: Connect the SSD to a different computer or device to determine if the issue is with the SSD or the original host device.
8.2 Slow Transfer Speeds
- USB Port Type: Ensure you are connecting the SSD to a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) or at least a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) port on your host device for optimal speeds. Older USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports will result in significantly lower speeds.
- Cable Quality: Use the provided high-quality cables. Faulty or low-quality cables can limit transfer speeds.
- Host Device Performance: The speed of your computer's internal drive and CPU can affect transfer rates.
- File Type: Transferring many small files is generally slower than transferring a few large files of the same total size.
8.3 Device I/O Error
- Check Cable: A common cause for I/O errors is a faulty or loose cable. Try replacing the cable.
- Check USB Port: Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Disk Check/Repair: Use your operating system's built-in disk checking tools (e.g., 'chkdsk' on Windows, 'First Aid' in Disk Utility on macOS) to scan and repair potential errors on the drive.
- Reformat Drive: If other solutions fail, reformatting the drive may resolve the issue. Note: This will erase all data.
