4. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup of your drain cleaner machine:
- Power Connection: Plug the leakage protector plug into a suitable power supply. Press the 'Test' and 'Reset' buttons to ensure it is powered on normally (indicator light should turn on).
- Attach Cutter: Select the appropriate cutter for your blockage type. Install the chosen dredging tool onto the end of the spring cable. Tighten the cutter securely with the provided hex wrench to prevent it from falling out during operation.
- Positioning: Place the drain cleaner machine near the pipe opening. Ensure the equipment is not too far from the mouth of the pipe (within 30cm to 50cm). Insert the spring into the pipe at least 20cm before starting the machine.

5. Operation
Operating the VEVOR D1000 involves controlled feeding of the cable to clear blockages.
- Prepare for Operation: Ensure the machine is set up as described in Section 4. Place the air-activated foot switch on the floor where it can be easily accessed.
- Set Direction: Turn the CW/CCW switch to the 'CW' (clockwise) position for forward rotation, which is used for unblocking.
- Manual Feeding: While the machine is off, manually push the spring cable into the pipe until it reaches the blockage or encounters resistance.
- Activate Machine: Depress the air-activated foot switch to start the machine. The cable will begin to rotate.
- Advance Cable: As the cable rotates, gently press down on the spring from top to bottom by hand to transport it further into the pipeline. This manual pressure helps the spring navigate obstacles.
- Clear Blockage: Continue to feed the cable and apply gentle pressure until the blockage is cleared.
- Retrieve Cable: To retrieve the cable, ensure the CW/CCW switch is still in the 'CW' position. The machine's rotation will help pull the cable back. If the spring is stuck inside the pipe, running the machine and rotating will help recycle it.
- Finish Operation: Once the pipe is clear and the cable is fully retrieved, turn the CW/CCW switch to 'OFF' and unplug the machine.

- Ensure the machine is positioned correctly near the pipe opening (30-50cm).
- Cable Stuck in Pipe:
- If the spring is stuck, run the machine and rotate the cable to help retrieve it. Always keep the switch in the 'CW' position for retrieval.
- Avoid excessive force, which can cause the cable to kink or break.
- Cutter Detaches in Pipe:
- Ensure cutters are always tightened securely with the hex wrench before use. If a cutter detaches, specialized retrieval tools may be required.
