Lumote Replacement Remote Control User Manual

Model: Standard v1 (Compatible with DENON AVR-1802, AVR-882, RC-897)

1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the Lumote Replacement Remote Control, designed to function as a direct replacement for original DENON AVR-1802, AVR-882, and RC-897 remote controls.

The remote control is pre-programmed and ready for use upon battery installation, requiring no additional setup codes.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or in the direction indicated by an arrow to open it.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Always use new batteries and replace both batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

3. Operating Instructions

Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready to operate your compatible DENON receiver. Point the remote control directly at the DENON receiver's infrared sensor.

The remote control replicates the functions of the original DENON remote. Below is a general guide to common button groups:

  • Power Button (⏻): Turns the receiver on or off.
  • Input Selectors (AV, DVD, CD, etc.): Switches between different audio/video input sources.
  • Numeric Keypad (0-9): Used for direct channel input or menu selections.
  • Navigation Buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK): Used to navigate menus and confirm selections.
  • Volume Control (VOL +, VOL -): Adjusts the audio output volume.
  • Channel/Page (CH/PAGE +, CH/PAGE -): For navigating through channels or pages in menus.
  • Mute Button (🔇): Mutes or unmutes the audio.
  • Menu/Exit/Return: Accesses system menus, exits current menus, or returns to previous screens.
  • Media Playback Controls (Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward): Controls playback of connected media devices.

4. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's responsiveness decreases or it stops functioning. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid Drops: Protect the remote from physical impact, as drops can damage internal components.

5. Troubleshooting
