4. Product Overview
The Kiprim LD50E features a large backlit LCD for clear readings in various lighting conditions and an intuitive button layout for ease of use. It also includes two bubble levels for precise horizontal and vertical alignment.

4.1. Buttons and Functions
- READ Button: Powers on the device and initiates measurements.
- Area/Volume/Pythagorean Mode / Save Button: Cycles through measurement modes and saves data.
- Reference Point / Unit Switch Button (U): Short press to change the measurement reference point (front/rear of device). Long press to switch between measurement units (meters, inches, feet, feet+inches).
- Addition & Subtraction / Sound Button: Performs addition or subtraction of measurements; also controls sound.
- OFF / CLEAR Button: Powers off the device or clears the current measurement.

5. Setup
5.1. Battery Installation
The Kiprim LD50E requires two 1.5V AAA batteries. These are included in the package.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
The device will automatically power off after 150 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Basic Distance Measurement
- Press the READ button to power on the device.
- Point the laser at the target.
- Press the READ button again to take a measurement. The distance will be displayed on the screen.
6.2. Changing Measurement Units
Long press the U button to cycle through the available measurement units: meters (m), inches (in), feet (ft), and feet+inches (ft+in).

6.3. Changing Reference Point
Short press the U button to switch the measurement reference point between the front edge and the rear edge of the device. The current reference point is indicated on the display.
6.4. Continuous Measurement
In continuous measurement mode, the device constantly measures and displays the distance as you move it, allowing for dynamic tracking of measurements.
6.5. Area Measurement
To measure area, the device will prompt you to measure two sides (length and width). It then automatically calculates and displays the area.
6.6. Volume Measurement
For volume measurement, the device will guide you to measure three dimensions (length, width, and height). It then automatically calculates and displays the volume.
6.7. Pythagorean Measurement
The device supports various Pythagorean modes (two-point and three-point) to calculate indirect distances, such as height or diagonal measurements, by measuring other sides of a right-angled triangle.

6.8. Addition and Subtraction
The device allows for adding or subtracting measurements. After taking a measurement, press the Addition/Subtraction button and then take another measurement. The device will perform the selected operation.

7. Data Management
The Kiprim LD50E can store up to 99 sets of measurement data. This allows you to review previous measurements without needing to re-measure.
- Saving Data: Measurements are typically saved automatically or can be saved manually depending on the mode.
- Recalling Data: Use the appropriate button (refer to the specific manual section for your device) to scroll through stored data.
- Clearing Data: Press the OFF / CLEAR button to clear the current measurement. For clearing stored data, refer to the detailed instructions in the included manual.

8. Maintenance
