1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the eppfun Bluetooth FM Transmitter. This device allows you to stream music and make hands-free calls in your car, even if it lacks built-in Bluetooth. It features Bluetooth 5.0 for stable connections, supports TF card playback, and offers an AUX output option for direct audio connection.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Connection

1. Power On: Plug the USB cable of the eppfun FM Transmitter into a USB power port in your car (e.g., car charger, car's USB port). The device will power on automatically.
2. Mounting: Use the provided 3M adhesive to fix the transmitter to a convenient location on your dashboard or console.

3. Pairing with Your Phone:
   • On your mobile phone, enable Bluetooth.
   • Search for Bluetooth devices and select "S-23" from the list to pair.
   • Once paired, the device will automatically reconnect to your phone the next time it's powered on.

4. Setting FM Frequency:
   • Tune your car's FM radio to an empty frequency (one with no strong broadcast signal).
   • On the eppfun transmitter, long press the Multi-Function Button (phone icon) for 2-3 seconds. The frequency number on the screen will flash.
   • Use the Previous Song (left arrow) and Next Song (right arrow) buttons to adjust the transmitter's frequency to match your car's FM radio.
   • Wait for 5 seconds after adjusting; the setting will be saved automatically. No confirmation is needed.

4.2 AUX Output Connection (Optional)

If your car's infotainment system has an AUX input, you can use a wired connection for clearer sound quality and to avoid wireless signal interference.

1. Obtain a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
2. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX OUT port on the eppfun transmitter.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to your car's AUX IN port.
4. Select the AUX input source on your car's audio system.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Music Playback

• Bluetooth Playback: Once paired with your phone, music played on your phone will be transmitted through the eppfun device to your car's audio system (via FM or AUX).
  • Press the Multi-Function Button once to Play/Pause music.
  • Press the Previous Song button to play the previous track.
  • Press the Next Song button to play the next track.
• TF Card Playback: Insert a TF (microSD) card containing music files into the TF card holder. The device supports MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, and WAV formats. The device prioritizes TF card playback if a card is inserted.

  • Press the Multi-Function Button once to Play/Pause music.

  • Press the Next Song button to play the next track.

5.2 Hands-Free Calling

The built-in microphone allows for clear hands-free communication.

• Answer/End Call: Press the Multi-Function Button once to answer an incoming call or end an ongoing call.
• Reject Call: Long press the Multi-Function Button to reject an incoming call.
• Redial Last Number: Double-press the Multi-Function Button to redial the last dialed number.

5.3 Voice Navigation

When connected via Bluetooth, voice navigation prompts from your phone will be transmitted through the device, allowing for more focused driving.

5.4 Power Off Memory Function

The device automatically stores the playback frequency, volume, and current track when powered off. When the device restarts, it will resume playing from where it left off without manual adjustment.

5.5 Connecting Two Mobile Phones Simultaneously

The eppfun S-23 supports connecting two mobile phones via Bluetooth 5.0 simultaneously, allowing for seamless switching between devices.

1. Search for "S-23" on both phones at the same time.
2. The first phone to successfully connect will establish the primary connection.
3. Connect the second phone. It will automatically reconnect after the first connection is established.
4. Note: If the second phone cannot find "S-23", first disconnect the Bluetooth from the already connected first phone, then search and connect the Bluetooth of the second phone.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or excessive moisture.
