1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your keisnoaja CCS1 to CHAdeMO EV Charger Adapter. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device and retain it for future reference.
The keisnoaja CCS1 to CHAdeMO EV charging adapter is designed to provide fast DC charging for CHAdeMO-compatible electric vehicles using CCS1 charging stations. It supports high power delivery up to 250kW, with a maximum current of 250A and voltage of 1000V DC. Constructed from durable ABS+PC materials and featuring IP54 waterproof rating, this adapter ensures reliable and safe charging in various conditions.

2.1. Features

3. Setup
3.1. Battery Assembly Instructions
Tools Required:
- Crosshead screwdriver (Size: 4.0mm)
- 18650 battery (one end protruding)
Assembly Steps:
- Use the crosshead screwdriver to unscrew the screws securing the battery compartment.
- Insert the 18650 battery into the compartment, ensuring that the protruding end faces outward. Check that the connection of the battery cover is secure, as indicated in the figure below.
- Gently tuck the connecting wire into the battery compartment, then cover it with the battery cover, ensuring a snug fit with the battery tab.
- Press down on the battery cover by hand to secure it, preventing any risk of detachment. Turn on the switch and check for power. If powered, you can proceed to install the screws. If not, repeat steps 2 and 3.
Notes:
- Avoid pulling on the battery connection wire, as this may affect the battery's ability to function properly.
- Before installing screws, ensure that the battery is successfully powered.
- If the battery connection wire is found loose, repeat steps 2 and 3.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. How to Use the Adapter
- Ensure your CHAdeMO vehicle is in "P" (park) mode and the instrument panel is turned off. Then, open the DC charging port on your vehicle.
- Plug the CHAdeMO connector into your CHAdeMO vehicle.
- Connect the charging station's cable to the adapter. To do this, align the CCS1 end of the adapter and push until it clicks into place. The adapter features distinct "keyways" designed to align with the corresponding tabs on the cable.
- Turn on the CCS1 to CHAdeMO adapter (long press 2-5 seconds to power on).
- Follow the instructions displayed on the CCS1 charging station's interface to start the charging process.
- Safety is paramount, so always adhere to the necessary precautions while using charging equipment to prevent accidents or damage to your vehicle or the charging station.

4.2. How to Charge the Adapter's Battery
The adapter is equipped with a 3500 mAh battery.
Notes:
- When you receive the product, please connect the adapter to Type-C for charging.
- Its charging voltage is 5V and the current is 1-2A.
- It takes 1.5 hours to fully charge using Type-C.
Charging Indicator Light Explanation:
- The indicator light flashes 2 times quickly during charging (the interval between each time is 1s).
Reminder:
- Please charge your adapter battery before the car runs out of power.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your adapter, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Clean only with a dry cloth; do not use cleaning solvents.
- Always keep the adapter away from moisture, water, and foreign objects.
- If there are any signs of damage or corrosion on the adapter, do not use it.
6. Troubleshooting & Cautions
Observe the following cautions to prevent damage to the adapter or injury:
- Do not use this product if there is any damage to the EV cable, the vehicle connector, or the vehicle inlet.
- Avoid dismantling, dropping, or heavy impact on the adapter.
- Do not touch the end terminals.
- If the unit is defective or damaged, do not use it.
- Do not disconnect under load - risk of electrical shock.
- Do not use in extreme weather conditions.
6.1. Software Upgrade Steps
Items to Prepare:
- 1. Type C-USB transmission cable * 1
- 2. USB flash drive without files * 1
Operating Steps:
- Store the upgrade file with a .JPG suffix on an empty USB flash drive. Then follow the steps below to upgrade the device with the latest software provided by the distributor.
NOTE: MAIN_CCS1CHAdeMO_1.JPG (Universal version)
- Open the soft rubber case at the bottom of the product.
- Use the Type C interface to connect to the product.
- Insert the USB flash drive into the USB cable adapter, press the power button, the light will flash for about 10 seconds, and then shut down automatically.
- Pull out the USB flash drive and press the power button again, the light will flash for 10 seconds and then shut down automatically. The upgrade process is successfully completed.

6.2. Download Charging Status Log Files Steps
- Prepare an empty USB flash drive.
- Insert the USB flash drive into the USB cable adapter and then press the power switch, the light will flash for 2 seconds and then shut down automatically. The last charging status log file is successfully downloaded.
- Insert the USB flash drive into the computer and zip the log file. Send the zipped log file via email to the local agent for analysis.
- The local agent will provide the upgrade software afterward.
- Upgrade the adapter by following the upgrade procedure.
