This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Rapoo E9050L Bluetooth Wireless Multi-Device Keyboard. Designed for versatility and comfort, this ultra-thin keyboard allows seamless switching between up to four devices across various operating systems.

3. Product Overview

The Rapoo E9050L keyboard features a compact, 78-key Tenkeyless (TKL) design with low-profile chiclet keycaps for a comfortable and quiet typing experience. It includes dedicated function keys and LED indicators for device status and Caps Lock.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard. The keyboard features a built-in rechargeable battery.

  1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the keyboard.
  2. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The charging indicator LED will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged. A full charge typically takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

4.2. Connecting via Bluetooth (Multi-Device Pairing)

The Rapoo E9050L can connect to up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

  1. Turn on the keyboard using the power switch.
  2. Press and hold the Fn + 1 key combination for approximately 3 seconds. The LED indicator above the '1' key will flash slowly, indicating the keyboard is in pairing mode for Device 1.
  3. On your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for new devices. Select "Rapoo E9050L" from the list of available devices.
  4. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. The LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds, then turn off, indicating successful pairing.
  5. To pair additional devices (Device 2, Device 3), repeat steps 2-4 using Fn + 2 and Fn + 3 respectively.

4.3. Connecting via 2.4GHz Wireless

The keyboard also supports a 2.4GHz wireless connection using the included USB receiver.

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver.
  2. Insert the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Press the Fn + 4 key combination. The keyboard will automatically connect to the receiver. The LED indicator above the '4' key will briefly illuminate, then turn off.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Switching Between Connected Devices

To switch between your paired devices, simply press the corresponding function key:

  • Press Fn + 1 to switch to Bluetooth Device 1.
  • Press Fn + 2 to switch to Bluetooth Device 2.
  • Press Fn + 3 to switch to Bluetooth Device 3.
  • Press Fn + 4 to switch to the 2.4GHz wireless connection.

5.2. Using Multimedia and Function Keys

The top row of keys (F1-F12) serves dual purposes. By default, they perform standard F-key functions. To access multimedia or special functions, press the Fn key simultaneously with the desired F-key.

5.3. Windows and Mac OS Dual System Function

The keyboard supports both Windows and Mac OS layouts. To switch between operating system modes, use the dedicated key combination:

  • Press Fn + Q for Mac OS mode.
  • Press Fn + W for Windows OS mode.

5.4. LED Indicators

The keyboard features LED indicators to provide visual feedback:

  • Device Connection Indicators (above 1, 2, 3, 4 keys): Flash slowly during pairing, solid briefly upon successful connection, then turn off.
  • Caps Lock Indicator: Illuminates when Caps Lock is active.
  • Charging Indicator: Illuminates during charging, turns off when fully charged.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Rapoo E9050L keyboard, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keyboard surface. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid excessive moisture.
  • Battery Care: To preserve battery life, avoid exposing the keyboard to extreme temperatures. Charge the keyboard regularly, even if not in constant use, to prevent deep discharge.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your keyboard, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Keyboard not connecting:
    • Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
    • Check if the keyboard battery is charged.
    • Re-attempt the pairing process (Section 4.2 for Bluetooth, Section 4.3 for 2.4GHz).
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and that the device is within range.
    • If using 2.4GHz, ensure the USB receiver is properly inserted.
  • Keys not responding:
    • Check battery level and charge if necessary.
    • Ensure the keyboard is connected to the correct device channel (Fn + 1/2/3/4).
    • Restart the keyboard and the connected device.
  • Intermittent connection:
    • Move the keyboard closer to the connected device.
    • Avoid sources of interference (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects).
    • Ensure the keyboard battery is sufficiently charged.
