4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

This router operates on a 40Vmax slide-type Li-ion battery (sold separately). Ensure the battery is fully charged before installation.

1. Align the battery pack with the battery housing on the router.
2. Slide the battery pack into the housing until it clicks into place.
3. To remove, press the release button on the battery and slide it out.

4.2. Bit Installation

1. Ensure the router is switched off and the battery is removed.
2. Press and hold the shaft lock button.
3. Loosen the collet nut using the provided wrench.
4. Insert the desired router bit into the collet. Ensure at least 3/4 of the shank is inserted.
5. Tighten the collet nut firmly with the wrench while still holding the shaft lock button.
6. Release the shaft lock button.

4.3. Depth Adjustment

1. Place the router on a flat surface with the bit touching the surface.
2. Loosen the depth lock lever.
3. Rotate the depth adjustment dial to set the desired cutting depth. Refer to the scale for precise measurements.
4. Tighten the depth lock lever to secure the setting.
5. The stopper base allows for quick setting of three different cutting depths.

5. Operation

5.1. Powering On and Off

To turn on the router, press the power button. To turn it off, press the power button again.

5.2. Adjusting Rotation Speed

The router features a 5-stage rotation speed adjustment dial. Rotate the dial to select the appropriate speed for your material and bit type. The speed range is 8,000 to 31,000 RPM.

5.3. Routing Techniques

• Always ensure the workpiece is securely clamped.
• Maintain a firm grip on both handles during operation.
• Move the router smoothly and consistently along the desired path. Avoid sudden movements.
• For best results and to prevent burning, make multiple shallow passes instead of one deep pass, especially with harder materials.
• The constant speed control feature ensures a clean cutting surface, even under load.

5.4. Dust Collection

For optimal dust management, connect a compatible dust extractor to the router's dust extraction port. The wireless dust collection feature (with compatible dust extractor, sold separately) will automatically activate the extractor when the router is turned on, keeping your workspace clean.

• Cleaning: After each use, clean the router body and base with a soft, dry cloth. Remove any dust or debris from the chuck and collet area.
