Operating
The PTU-X system is designed for straightforward operation:
- Frequency Selection: The system automatically selects the best available frequency. If interference occurs, you can manually cycle through the 16 available UHF frequencies to find a clear channel.
- MIC/LINE Gain Control: Use the MIC/LINE switch on the transmitter to adjust the input gain. Select "MIC" mode for microphones (dynamic or condenser) and "LINE" mode for devices with higher output levels like mixers or keyboards. This helps prevent signal distortion.
- +48V Phantom Power: For condenser microphones that require external power, activate the +48V phantom power switch on the transmitter. Ensure your microphone is compatible before activating this feature.
- Range: The system provides a reliable wireless range of up to 100ft (30 m) in optimal conditions. Ensure a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver for best performance.
