Setup and Installation

1. Door Preparation and Dimensions

Ensure your door meets the following specifications for proper installation:

  • Door Holes: Only suitable for 2-1/8" (54mm).
  • Door Thickness: 1-3/8" and 2" (35mm to 50mm).
  • Adjustable Center Distance (Backset): 2-3/8" (60mm) to 2-3/4" (70mm).

2. Parts List

Verify all components are present before beginning installation:

3. Installation Steps

Follow these steps for a successful installation:

  1. Adjust Latch Bolt: Twist the latch to adjust the bolt length to either 60mm or 70mm, ensuring the latch bolt is retracted.
  2. Insert Latch Bolt: Insert the latch bolt into the door, making sure the T-shaped hole is in the bottom position.
  3. Install Strike Plate: Secure the strike plate on the door frame using the provided 3/4" (19mm) screws (2ea).
  4. Install Exterior Assembly: Route the cable through the door, pass the tail of the exterior assembly through the T-shaped hole, and stud through the latch. Ensure the key is pulled out when installing and push the keypad onto the door.
  5. Install Mounting Plate: Remove the mounting plate from the interior assembly, then attach it to the door using the 1-5/32" (33mm) screws (2ea).
  6. Install Interior Assembly: Ensure a tight cable connection. Insert the tail of the exterior assembly into the T-shaped hole of the interior assembly. Fix the interior assembly using the 3/4" (19mm) screws (2ea).
  7. Install Batteries: Insert 4 AAA batteries into the interior assembly.
  8. Test Lock Functionality: Press the lock key to ensure the latch bolt extends by itself. Unlock using the default user code 123456.

Operating Instructions

This section details how to program and use your ELAMOR M19 lock.

1. Change Master Code

The default master code is 123456. It is recommended to change this immediately after installation.

  1. Press the 'Set' button (located on the interior assembly).
  2. Enter the Default Master Code (123456).
  3. Press '4' on the keypad.
  4. Enter your New Master Code (e.g., 147147).
  5. Confirm your New Master Code (e.g., 147147).

2. Add User Code

You can add up to 50 user codes.

  1. Press the 'Set' button.
  2. Enter the Master Code.
  3. Press '1' on the keypad.
  4. Enter a 2-digit User ID (01 to 50).
  5. Enter the New User Code (e.g., 258369).
  6. Confirm the New User Code (e.g., 258369).

3. Delete Single User Code

To remove a specific user code:

  1. Press the 'Set' button.
  2. Enter the Master Code.
  3. Press '2' on the keypad.
  4. Enter the 2-digit User ID of the code you wish to delete.
  5. Confirm the 2-digit User ID.

4. Delete All User Codes

This action will remove all programmed user codes, but not the Master Code.

  1. Press the 'Set' button.
  2. Enter the Master Code.
  3. Press '3' on the keypad.
  4. Confirm the Master Code.

5. Set Auto Lock Time

Configure the automatic locking delay (5 to 30 seconds).

  1. Press the 'Set' button.
  2. Enter the Master Code.
  3. Press '5' on the keypad.
  4. Enter the desired auto-lock time (e.g., '05' for 5 seconds, '30' for 30 seconds).

6. Cancel Auto Lock

To disable the automatic locking feature:

  1. Press the 'Set' button.
  2. Enter the Master Code.
  3. Press '5' on the keypad.
  4. Enter '00' on the keypad.

7. Sound On/Off

Toggle the sound alerts for the lock.

  1. Press the 'Set' button.
  2. Enter the Master Code.
  3. Press '6' on the keypad.

8. Add Fingerprint

You can add up to 100 fingerprints.

  1. Press the 'Set' button.
  2. Enter the Master Code.
  3. Press '7' on the keypad.
  4. Press your finger on the fingerprint sensor 6 times, lifting it slightly between each press.

9. Delete All Fingerprints

This action will remove all programmed fingerprints.

  1. Press the 'Set' button.
  2. Enter the Master Code.
  3. Press '8' on the keypad.
  4. Confirm the Master Code.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The lock requires 4 AAA batteries (not included). Replace batteries when the low battery indicator LED is active or if the lock shows signs of power issues.

  1. Remove the battery cover on the interior assembly.
  2. Remove the old batteries.
  3. Insert new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Replace the battery cover.

Troubleshooting

Refer to the following solutions for common issues:

1. Red Light on when any key is pressed, but not locked/unlocked successfully

Issue: The lock's red light illuminates when a key is pressed, but the lock does not respond to lock/unlock commands.

Solution: Replace the batteries. This indicates low battery power.

2. Keypad and Indicator Not Responding

Issue: The keypad and indicator lights do not respond to any input.

Solution: Replace the batteries. This indicates completely drained batteries.

3. Keypad Lockout (Incorrect Password)

Issue: The keypad locks after entering an incorrect password 5 times within one minute.

Solution 1: Reinstall the batteries. This can reset the lockout state.

Solution 2: Wait for 90 seconds until the keypad automatically unlocks.
