5. Operating Instructions
The BESTEK MRJ2001BU offers two types of AC outlets and multiple USB ports for charging. Always ensure you use the correct outlet for your device's wattage requirements.
5.1 Using the 2000W Voltage Converter Outlet
This outlet is designed for high-power heating appliances. It converts 220-240V foreign electricity to 110-120V US electricity.
- Suitable for: Hair dryers (up to 2000W), electric kettles, flat irons, steam irons, and other high-wattage heating devices.
- Usage: Plug your 110-120V appliance into the 2000W outlet.

5.2 Using the 200W Adapter Sockets
These outlets are for low-power electronic devices that typically have a wide voltage input range (100-240V). They do not convert voltage but act as pass-through adapters.
- Suitable for: Laptops, cameras, electric shavers, electric toothbrushes, hair straighteners, curling irons (if they support 100-240V input).
- Usage: Plug your 100-240V compatible appliance into the 200W outlet.

5.3 Using USB Charging Ports
The converter includes 1 USB-A (QC3.0 18W) and 2 USB-C (PD35W) ports for fast charging of your mobile devices.
- Suitable for: Smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, headphones, and other USB-powered devices.
- Usage: Connect your device's USB charging cable to the appropriate USB-A or USB-C port.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BESTEK voltage converter, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Disconnect the converter from the power outlet before cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Storage: When not in use, store the converter and its adapters in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Inspection: Periodically check the power cord and plugs for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer support.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your BESTEK voltage converter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Converter Light Turns Red / Device Stops Working:
This indicates an overload or short-circuit protection has been activated. This can happen if a device with a wattage exceeding the outlet's limit is connected, or if a device designed for the 2000W converter outlet is mistakenly plugged into the 200W adapter outlet. For example, some hair straighteners, despite being low wattage, may trigger an overload on the 200W outlet due to specific power requirements.
Solution: Unplug the problematic device, wait a few moments, and then re-plug the converter into the wall. Ensure you are using the correct outlet for your device's wattage. If the issue persists, the device may not be compatible with the converter. - No Power / Indicator Light Off:
Solution: Check if the converter is securely plugged into the wall outlet. Ensure the wall outlet itself is functional. Try plugging another device into the wall outlet to confirm power availability. - Device Not Charging via USB:
Solution: Ensure the USB cable is properly connected to both the converter and your device. Try a different USB port or cable to rule out cable issues. Confirm your device is compatible with USB charging standards (QC3.0 or PD35W). - Faint Fan Sound / Unit Feels Warm:
This is normal operation. The converter includes an internal fan for cooling, especially when converting high-power appliances. A slight warmth during use is expected.
