Setup

Follow these steps to properly set up your EXP GDC Laptop Standalone Video Card Dock.

1. Install M.2 Adapter: Locate an available M.2 M Key slot on your laptop or compatible device. Carefully insert the M.2 Adapter Plate for OCuLink into this slot. Secure it if necessary according to your device's instructions.
2. Connect OCuLink Cable: Connect one end of the OCuLink Cable to the M.2 Adapter Plate and the other end to the OCuLink port on the EXP GDC Docking Station. Ensure a secure connection.
3. Connect Power Supply:
   • Graphics Card Power: If your external graphics card requires additional power, connect its 6-pin power connector to the corresponding 6-pin port on the EXP GDC Dock.
   • Dock Power: Connect the ATX24p to 8P Power Cable to a compatible ATX power supply (not included) and the 8-pin connector to the EXP GDC Dock's 8-pin power input. This powers the dock itself.
4. Install Graphics Card: Insert your desired external graphics card into the PCIe x16 slot on the EXP GDC Docking Station. Ensure it is seated firmly.
5. Connect to Display: Connect your display monitor to the output ports of the external graphics card.
6. Power On: Power on your ATX power supply, then your laptop. The system should detect the external graphics card. You may need to install appropriate drivers for the graphics card.
