5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock.
- Slide or gently pry open the cover.
- Insert two (2) 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
The clock will power on and display default settings or the current time if previously set.
5.2 Initial Settings (Time and Date)
- Press and hold the 'M' (Mode) button for approximately 3 seconds to enter time setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
- Use the '^' (Up) or 'v' (Down) buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press 'M' again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the '^' or 'v' buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Continue pressing 'M' to cycle through and set the year, month, and day using the '^' or 'v' buttons for each value.
- After setting the day, press 'M' one last time to exit setting mode.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Setting the Alarm
- From the normal time display, press the 'M' button once to switch to alarm time display mode. The alarm time will be shown.
- Press and hold the 'M' button for approximately 3 seconds. The alarm hour digits will flash.
- Use the '^' or 'v' buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press 'M' again to confirm the alarm hour and move to alarm minute setting. The alarm minute digits will flash.
- Use the '^' or 'v' buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press 'M' one last time to exit alarm setting mode.
6.2 Activating/Deactivating the Alarm
In normal time display mode, press the '^' button once to toggle the alarm ON or OFF. An alarm icon (e.g., a bell) will appear on the display when the alarm is active.
6.3 Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, press any button (except the alarm OFF button, if present) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after a few minutes (typically 5-10 minutes, refer to specific model behavior if different).
6.4 Display Modes (Time, Date, Temperature)
The clock automatically displays the current time and indoor temperature. You can switch between displaying the date and the alarm time in the secondary display area by pressing the 'v' button in normal time display mode.
The integrated thermometer measures indoor temperature within a range of -10 °C to +50 °C.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the display or casing.
7.2 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or the clock functions erratically, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new 1.5V AAA batteries.
