4.1 Front Panel

5. Setup
5.1 Connecting Power
- Ensure the A70 Pro is turned off.
- Connect the provided AC power cable to the power input on the rear panel of the A70 Pro.
- Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable wall outlet.
5.2 Connecting Audio Sources
The A70 Pro supports both balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs. For optimal performance, use balanced connections when possible.
- XLR Input: Connect your balanced audio source (e.g., DAC) to the XLR input ports on the rear panel.
- RCA Input: Connect your single-ended audio source to the RCA input ports on the rear panel.
The A70 Pro can be expanded with the Ext90 input expansion module (sold separately) to provide a total of four balanced XLR and two single-ended RCA inputs.

5.3 Connecting Headphones/Preamps
- Headphones: Connect your headphones to the appropriate output jack on the front panel (XLR 4-pin, 4.4mm balanced, or 6.35mm single-ended). Use the 6.35 mm to 3.5 mm adaptor if your headphones have a 3.5mm plug.
- Preamplifier Output: The A70 Pro can also function as a preamplifier. Connect its output to a power amplifier or active speakers using balanced XLR or single-ended RCA cables from the rear panel.
5.4 Ground Loop Noise Elimination
If you experience humming or buzzing noise due to ground loops when connecting multiple devices, use the GND/LIFT switch on the rear panel.
- GND (Ground): Default setting, connects the chassis ground to the audio ground.
- LIFT (Ground Lift): Disconnects the chassis ground from the audio ground, which can eliminate ground loop noise. Toggle this switch if noise is present.
5.5 12V Trigger Connection
The 12V Trigger allows the A70 Pro to be turned on/off in sync with other compatible audio equipment.
- 12V Trigger IN: Connect a 12V trigger output from another device to this input. The A70 Pro will power on/off with that device.
- 12V Trigger OUT: Connect this output to the 12V trigger input of another device. The A70 Pro will control the power of that device.

6.2 Volume Control
The A70 Pro features a precise R2R relay volume control module for accurate adjustments.
- Rotate the volume knob on the front panel to adjust the output volume.

- The A70 Pro remembers 8 independent volume settings for various outputs, automatically reverting to the last used volume upon selection.
