3. Product Overview

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Unscrew the tailcap counter-clockwise.
- Insert the included 18650 Lithium-Ion battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight.
- Screw the tailcap back on clockwise until it is fully tightened.

4.2 Attaching to Headband
- Slide the Perun 3 flashlight into the silicone mount on the headband. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Adjust the elastic straps of the headband for a comfortable and secure fit on your head. The headband features a breathable design and an anti-sweat rubber strip for comfort.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Operation
- Turn On/Off: Single click the side switch to turn the light on or off.
- Change Brightness (White Light): When the light is on, press and hold the side switch to cycle through Low, Medium, and High modes. Release the switch to select the desired mode.
- Moonlight Mode: When the light is off, press and hold the side switch for approximately one second to activate Moonlight mode.
- Turbo Mode: Quickly double-click the side switch to activate Turbo mode. Double-click again to return to the previous mode.
- Red Light Mode: When the light is off, quickly triple-click the side switch to activate the red light. Single click to turn off.
- Change Red Light Brightness: When the red light is on, press and hold the side switch to cycle between Low Red and High Red.
- Red Light Flashing: When the red light is on, quickly double-click the side switch to activate the red flashing mode. Double-click again to return to the previous red light mode.
- Lockout/Unlock: When the light is off, press and hold the side switch for approximately two seconds until the Moonlight mode briefly turns on and then off. The light is now locked out. To unlock, press and hold the side switch for approximately two seconds until the light turns on in Moonlight mode.

5.2 Proximity Sensor
The Perun 3 is equipped with a proximity sensor for enhanced reliability. When the flashlight is in Turbo mode and detects an obstruction within 0.5 seconds, the sensor will automatically reduce the light output to prevent overheating or accidental damage. The light will return to its previous output once the obstruction is removed.

6. Charging
The Perun 3 uses OLIGHT's MCC3 magnetic charging cable for convenient recharging.
- Connect the USB end of the MCC3 charging cable to a USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
- Attach the magnetic end of the MCC3 cable to the magnetic tailcap of the Perun 3. The indicator light on the MCC3 cable will turn red to indicate charging is in progress.
- Once charging is complete, the indicator light on the MCC3 cable will turn green.
Note: Ensure the charging contacts are clean and free from debris for optimal charging performance.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Regularly clean the lens and body of the flashlight with a soft, clean cloth.
- Keep the magnetic charging port clean to ensure proper charging.
- If the threads are dirty, clean them with a clean cloth and apply a thin layer of silicone grease to maintain waterproof sealing.
7.2 Water Resistance
The Perun 3 has an IP68 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected from total dust ingress and can withstand continuous immersion in water up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. Ensure the tailcap is fully tightened before exposing the flashlight to water.

8. Troubleshooting
- Light not turning on: Check if the battery is inserted correctly with the positive end facing the head. Ensure the tailcap is fully tightened. The device might be in lockout mode; refer to the 'Lockout/Unlock' section in Operating Instructions.
- Light output is low or flickering: The battery might be low. Recharge the battery. Ensure the contacts on the battery and flashlight are clean.
- Light dims unexpectedly: The proximity sensor may have detected an object too close to the lens. Remove any obstructions. This can also indicate the battery is critically low.
- Charging not working: Ensure the MCC3 cable is properly connected to both the power source and the flashlight's tailcap. Check if the charging cable indicator light is red (charging) or green (charged). Clean the magnetic charging contacts.
