6. Operating Instructions

Before cleaning, always test a small, inconspicuous area of the surface for colorfastness and material compatibility. Do not over-wet the area.

  1. Pre-treat (Optional): For heavily soiled areas or stubborn stains, pre-treat the spot with a suitable stain remover according to its instructions. Allow it to sit for a few minutes.
  2. Turn On: Press the power button on the main unit to turn on the RYER Spot Cleaner.
  3. Spray Solution: Hold the cleaning nozzle about 1-2 inches above the stained area. Press the spray trigger on the nozzle to release the cleaning solution onto the spot.
  4. Scrub and Suction:
    • For carpets and durable upholstery, gently scrub the stained area with the brush attachment while continuing to spray.
    • Release the spray trigger and slowly pull the nozzle across the wet area, applying downward pressure to suction up the dirty water.
    • Repeat spraying and suctioning passes until the stain is removed and the water being extracted appears clean.
  5. Drying: Make additional suction-only passes over the cleaned area to remove as much moisture as possible. This will help the area dry faster.
  6. Empty Dirty Water Tank: When the dirty water tank reaches its maximum fill line, or after each cleaning session, turn off the unit and empty the tank.
    • Remove the dirty water tank from the main unit.
    • Open the emptying cap and pour the dirty water into a sink or drain.
    • Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
  7. Refill Clean Water Tank: If needed, refill the clean water tank as described in the Setup section.
