Setup and Assembly
The Bassinet V3 comes largely pre-assembled. Follow these steps for initial setup and attachment:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Mattress Placement: Place the provided mattress into the bassinet. Ensure the mattress cover is properly fitted.
- Attaching to Stroller/Stand:
- Align the bassinet attachment points with the corresponding receivers on your UPPAbaby stroller frame or Bassinet Stand.
- Press down firmly until you hear an audible 'click' and the visual indicators turn green, confirming a secure attachment.
- For Ridge strollers, ensure the correct adapters are installed on the stroller frame before attaching the bassinet.
- Bug Shield Attachment: The included Bug Shield can be placed over the bassinet canopy for protection from insects.
Operating Instructions
Canopy Operation:
- To extend the UPF 50+ sunshade, pull it forward from the canopy.
- To retract, push it back into the canopy.
- The canopy also features mesh panels that can be opened or closed to control airflow.
Ventilation:
The Bassinet V3 includes a vented base and quick-zip cross ventilation panels. Open these panels to increase airflow, especially in warmer conditions, and close them for more enclosed comfort.
Detaching the Bassinet:
To remove the bassinet from the stroller or stand, press the release button located on the carry handle and lift the bassinet upwards. Ensure a firm grip on the carry handle during removal.
Boot Cover Access:
The bassinet boot cover features a dual zipper for convenient access to your baby without fully removing the cover.
Care and Maintenance
Fabric Care:
- The zip-out, water-repellent inner liner and boot cover are machine washable.
- Wash on a gentle cycle with cold water. Do not bleach.
- Air dry only. Do not tumble dry.
Frame and Hard Surfaces:
- Wipe down the aluminum frame and plastic components with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly or storage.
Mattress Care:
- The mattress cover is removable and machine washable (follow fabric care instructions).
- The foam-free air mesh mattress can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow to air dry thoroughly.
Storage
The Bassinet V3 is designed to be foldable for compact storage when not in use. Ensure the bassinet is clean and dry before storing. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
