3. Setup
3.1. Charging the Battery
- Insert the Battery Pack LP-E10 into the Battery Charger LC-E10E.
- Connect the power cable to the charger and plug it into a power outlet.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will turn off when charging is complete.
3.2. Attaching the Lens
- Remove the body cap from the camera and the rear lens cap from the EF-S 18-55mm lens.
- Align the red dot on the lens with the red dot on the camera body.
- Turn the lens clockwise until it clicks into place.

3.3. Inserting the Memory Card
- Open the memory card slot cover on the side of the camera.
- Insert the 64GB SD Memory Card with the label facing the back of the camera until it clicks.
- Close the memory card slot cover.
3.4. Attaching the Camera Strap
Thread the camera strap through the strap lugs on both sides of the camera body and secure it as shown in the camera's quick start guide.
