7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your grater.

  • Disassembly: After each use, disassemble the unit by removing the handle, drum, and releasing the suction base.
  • Washing: All removable parts, including the drums, food pusher, and main unit, are dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive brush or sponge. Exercise extreme caution when cleaning the sharp blades of the drums.
  • Drying: Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried before reassembling or storing to prevent rust on stainless steel components.
  • Storage: Store the drums in the provided custom holder. Store the entire unit in a dry place.

8. Troubleshooting

Issue: The suction base does not hold securely.
Solution: Ensure the countertop surface is completely clean, smooth, and dry. Press down firmly on the base while twisting the locking mechanism clockwise until it is fully engaged. Avoid porous or textured surfaces.
Issue: Food is not processing efficiently or gets stuck.
Solution: Ensure the food pieces are cut to an appropriate size to fit the chute and the drum. Do not overfill the chute. Apply steady, even pressure with the food pusher. Check that the correct drum is installed for the type of food being processed.
Issue: Handle is difficult to turn.
Solution: This may indicate that the food is too hard or the drum is not properly seated. Do not force the handle. Remove the food, check the drum's installation, and ensure you are not attempting to process overly hard ingredients.
