2. Safety Guidelines
Always prioritize safety when operating your electric bike. Adhere to local traffic laws and wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet. Regularly inspect your bike for any signs of wear or damage before each ride.
- Wear a certified helmet and other protective gear.
- Perform a pre-ride inspection of brakes, tires, battery, and lights.
- Be aware of your surroundings and ride defensively.
- Do not operate the bike under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Ensure the battery is securely locked before riding.
3. Setup and Assembly
The Aipas C1 Electric Bike arrives approximately 95% pre-assembled. The following steps outline the final assembly and initial setup required before your first ride.
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for potential future transport or returns.
- Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebar to the stem, ensuring all bolts are tightened securely. Adjust the angle for comfortable riding.
- Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel, ensuring the quick-release skewer or axle nuts are properly secured. Verify the brake rotor aligns correctly with the caliper.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the pedals into the crank arms. Note that the left pedal has a reverse thread. Tighten firmly.
- Seat Post and Saddle Adjustment: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height for comfortable leg extension while pedaling. Secure the quick-release clamp.
- Basket Attachment: Securely attach the front and rear baskets using the provided hardware. Ensure they are stable and do not interfere with steering or wheel rotation.
- Battery Installation and Charging: Insert the removable 48V 11Ah battery into its compartment and lock it securely. Fully charge the battery before the first use. Charging typically takes 4-6 hours.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the Smart M6 LCD display. To power off, press and hold the same button until the display turns off.
4.2 Display Functions (Smart M6 LCD)
The Smart M6 LCD display provides real-time information about your ride. It shows speed, mileage, battery level, and Pedal Assist System (PAS) level. The display also features an integrated USB charging port for your mobile devices.

4.3 Pedal Assist System (PAS)
The C1 Electric Bike features 5 levels of pedal assist. Use the control buttons near the display to cycle through PAS levels 1 to 5. Higher levels provide more motor assistance. At PAS level 5, the bike can reach speeds of 28 MPH or higher.
4.4 Throttle Operation
The bike is equipped with a twist-grip throttle. Gently twist the throttle to engage the motor without pedaling. The throttle provides immediate power, useful for starting or climbing hills.
4.5 Gear Shifting (7-Speed Derailleur)
The 7-speed gear system allows you to adjust your pedaling effort to different terrains. Use the twist-grip shifter on the handlebar to change gears. Shift to lower gears for climbing and higher gears for flat terrain or downhill riding.

4.6 Braking System (180mm Disc Brakes)
The C1 features dual 180mm disc brakes for reliable stopping power. Apply both brake levers simultaneously for effective and controlled braking. The rear tail light flashes when braking, enhancing visibility.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your Aipas C1 Electric Bike.
- Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure before each ride. The 26"x2.0" resistant tires are designed for various terrains; maintain recommended pressure for optimal performance and safety.
- Brakes: Inspect brake pads for wear and ensure brake levers provide firm and responsive braking. Adjust or replace as needed.
- Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth gear changes and prevent wear.
- Battery Care:
- Charge the battery regularly, even when not in use, to maintain its health.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- The battery has an IP65 waterproof rating, but avoid submerging it.
- General Cleaning: Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
- Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and fasteners for tightness, especially on critical components like handlebars, wheels, and seat post.

6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bike does not power on | Battery not charged or not properly seated; loose electrical connection. | Ensure battery is fully charged and securely locked in place. Check all visible cable connections. |
| Motor not assisting | PAS level set to 0; brake levers engaged; motor cable disconnected. | Increase PAS level on the display. Release brake levers. Check motor cable connection. |
| Brakes feel weak | Worn brake pads; air in hydraulic system (if applicable); misaligned caliper. | Inspect and replace brake pads if worn. Consult a professional for brake bleeding or caliper alignment. |
| Gears are not shifting smoothly | Dirty or unlubricated chain; misaligned derailleur; stretched cable. | Clean and lubricate the chain. Adjust derailleur limits and cable tension. |
| Unusual noises during riding | Loose components; rubbing brakes; dry chain; worn bearings. | Inspect all parts for looseness. Check brake alignment. Lubricate chain. If noise persists, seek professional inspection. |
