Setup Instructions

1. Unpacking

  • Remove all packaging materials, including the foam base and adhesive tape holding accessories.
  • Inspect the refrigerator for any damage during transit. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.

2. Placement

  • Place the refrigerator on a flat, solid surface strong enough to support the unit when fully loaded.
  • Allow at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) of space between the back and sides of the refrigerator and any adjacent walls to ensure proper air circulation.
  • Avoid placing the refrigerator in direct sunlight or near heat sources like stoves or heaters.
  • This refrigerator is designed for freestanding installation and can be installed against a wall with its smooth back design.

3. Leveling

  • Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom front of the refrigerator to ensure the unit is level. A level refrigerator operates more efficiently and prevents door alignment issues.

4. Door Reversal (Optional)

The door hinge is reversible, allowing you to change the door's opening direction from right to left, or vice versa, to suit your space. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full product manual for this procedure. It is recommended to have two people for this task.

5. Initial Power On

  • Before plugging in, ensure the refrigerator has been upright for at least 2-4 hours to allow refrigerant fluids to settle.
  • Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated, grounded 120 Volt, 60 Hz AC outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  • Set the temperature control to the recommended setting (usually '3' or 'MID').
  • Allow the refrigerator to cool for several hours before placing food inside.

Operating Instructions

Temperature Control

The refrigerator features mechanical temperature controls, typically located inside the fresh food compartment. Adjust the dial to a higher number for colder temperatures and a lower number for warmer temperatures. The recommended setting for normal use is usually '3' or 'MID'. Allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize after any adjustment.

Food Storage

  • Adjustable Spill-Proof Glass Shelves: These shelves can be moved to accommodate items of various heights. Their design helps contain spills, simplifying cleanup.
  • Door Bins: Ideal for storing beverages, condiments, and other smaller items. The tall bottle storage in the door is convenient for larger containers.
  • Crisper Bin: Located at the bottom of the fresh food compartment, this bin helps preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables.
  • Freezer Shelf: The freezer compartment includes one adjustable/removable wire shelf and a door bin for organized storage of frozen foods.

Maintenance

Cleaning Your Refrigerator

Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.

  • Interior: Wash interior surfaces with a solution of two tablespoons of baking soda to one quart of warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Exterior: Clean the exterior with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
  • Door Gaskets: Clean door gaskets regularly to ensure a proper seal. Use a mild soap and water solution.

Defrosting the Freezer

This refrigerator features a manual defrost system. Frost buildup in the freezer compartment is normal and should be removed periodically to maintain efficiency.

  • Unplug the refrigerator.
  • Remove all food from the freezer and place it in a cooler or another refrigerated space.
  • Leave the freezer door open to allow frost to melt naturally. Place towels on the floor to catch water.
  • Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost, as this can damage the cooling system.
  • Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly before plugging the refrigerator back in and returning food.

Power Outage

In case of a power outage, keep the refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible to maintain internal temperatures. Food should remain frozen for approximately 24 hours if the doors are kept closed.
