4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation and Charging
The S04CG laser level can be powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery, 4xAA batteries, or directly via a Type-C power input.
- Li-ion Battery: Insert the provided 7.4V/2600mAh Li-ion battery into the battery compartment. To charge, connect the Type-C cable to the laser level and a power source. The LCD screen will indicate charging status.
- AA Batteries: If using AA batteries, insert 4xAA batteries into the AA battery holder, then place the holder into the battery compartment.
- Direct Power: The device can be operated directly by connecting the Type-C cable to a power source, even without device batteries installed.

4.2 Mounting the Laser Level
The S04CG offers multiple mounting options for various applications.
4.2.1 Using the Magnetic Bracket
Attach the magnetic bracket to the back of the laser level. The strong magnets allow for secure attachment to metal surfaces. The bracket also features 1/4"-20 and 5/8"-11 female threads for tripod or pole mounting.

4.2.2 Using the Telescoping Pole (LP36A)
The LP36A pole provides flexible height adjustment for your laser level.
- Assemble the Pole: Connect the telescopic rods and tail rod to achieve the desired height. The pole can extend up to 3.7m (12.14ft).
- Attach the Mounting Bracket: Secure the laser level's magnetic bracket to the pole's mounting clamp.
- Adjust Height: Use the pole's adjustment mechanisms to set the laser level at the required height. The clamp allows for fine-tuning and depth adjustment.

4.2.3 Using the Lifting Base
The included lifting base allows the laser level to be raised from the surface between 1 inch and 3.54 inches, ideal for tiling applications where a low horizontal line is needed.

5. Operation
5.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the device, slide the pendulum lock switch to the unlocked position. To power off, slide the pendulum lock switch to the locked position.
5.2 Selecting Laser Planes
The S04CG features four 360° laser planes. Use the 'H' button for horizontal lines and the 'V' button for vertical lines on the keypad to select desired laser configurations.

5.3 Operating Modes
The laser level supports three primary operating modes:
5.3.1 Self-Leveling Mode
When the pendulum is unlocked, the laser level automatically self-levels within ±3.5°. If the device is outside this range, the laser lines will flash rapidly, and an audible alarm will sound, indicating an out-of-level condition.
5.3.2 Manual Mode
To use the laser lines at any angle (e.g., for sloped applications), lock the pendulum by sliding the switch to the locked position. The laser lines will then be fixed, and the self-leveling function will be deactivated.
5.3.3 Pulse Mode
Activate pulse mode by pressing the dedicated pulse mode button. This mode is used with a Huepar Laser Receiver (LR-6RG/LR-5RG) to extend the working range of the laser lines up to 200 Ft. The laser lines will appear dimmer in pulse mode to the naked eye but are optimized for detection by the receiver.

5.4 Bluetooth App and Remote Control
The S04CG can be controlled remotely via the Huepar App on a smartphone or the included remote control.
- Bluetooth Connection: Download the Huepar App from your device's app store. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and the laser level. Follow the app's instructions to pair the devices. The laser tool can connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
- Functions: Both the app and remote control allow you to switch laser lines ON/OFF, activate/deactivate pulse mode, and select specific laser planes. The app also provides an out-of-level alarm.

6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your Huepar S04CG laser level.
- Cleaning: Clean the laser level and its accessories with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the laser emission windows are clean for optimal beam clarity.
- Storage: When not in use, store the laser level in its hard carry case in a dry, dust-free environment. Ensure the pendulum is locked before storage to prevent damage during transport.
- Battery Care: For long-term storage, remove the Li-ion battery and store it separately. Recharge the Li-ion battery periodically (every 3-6 months) to maintain its health.
- Calibration: While the device is factory-calibrated, regular checks for accuracy are recommended, especially after drops or impacts. Refer to the troubleshooting section for basic checks.
