4. Setup

4.1. Physical Installation

1. Choose a Location: Select a suitable outdoor location that provides optimal coverage and a stable mounting surface. Ensure the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi network.
2. Use Mounting Template: Place the provided mounting drill template on the desired surface and mark the drill holes.
3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions. Insert the wall anchors if necessary.
4. Secure Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate to the surface using the provided screws.
5. Mount Camera: Securely attach the camera to the mounting plate.
6. Connect Power: Connect the camera to the power adapter and plug it into a power outlet.

4.2. App Connection (WiODO App)

1. Download the App: Download the "WiODO" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Register/Login: Open the app and register a new account or log in with existing credentials.
3. Add Device: Tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
4. Scan QR Code: Follow the in-app instructions to scan the QR code on your camera or manually enter the device ID.
5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Select your 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone for initial pairing.
6. Complete Setup: Follow any remaining prompts to complete the setup process.

5. Operating Your Camera

5.1. Live View and Recording

Access the WiODO app to view live footage from your camera anytime, anywhere. The camera supports 24/7 continuous recording to a MicroSD card (up to 128GB) or cloud storage (subscription may be required).

5.2. Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Control

Use the controls within the WiODO app to remotely adjust the camera's horizontal (pan) and vertical (tilt) angles, providing a 360° view. You can also set up patrol routes with preset positions for automated monitoring.

5.3. Two-Way Audio

Utilize the two-way audio feature to listen in on your property or speak through the camera's built-in speaker. This is useful for communicating with visitors or deterring intruders.

5.4. Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to Black Light Full-Color Night Vision in low-light conditions, providing clear and vibrant images without the need for external lighting.

5.5. AI Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera's AI algorithms can differentiate between humans, pets, and other objects, reducing false alarms. You will receive instant notifications on your smartphone when motion is detected, allowing you to respond quickly.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly wipe the camera lens with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality. Do not use harsh chemicals.
• Firmware Updates: Check the WiODO app periodically for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Weather Protection: While the camera is IP65 weatherproof, ensure its power connections are protected from direct exposure to heavy rain or snow to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting

• Camera Offline: Check power connection and Wi-Fi signal strength. Ensure your router is functioning correctly.
• Failed to Connect to App: Verify your Wi-Fi password and ensure you are connecting to a 2.4GHz or 5GHz network. Try restarting the camera and your router.
• Poor Image Quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure there are no obstructions. Check your internet connection speed.
• Frequent False Alarms: Adjust the AI motion detection sensitivity settings in the WiODO app.
• No Recording: Ensure a MicroSD card is properly inserted and formatted, or verify your cloud storage subscription status.
• Reset Camera: If issues persist, locate the reset button on the camera (refer to Figure 2.1) and press and hold it for several seconds until the camera resets. You will then need to re-add the device to the app.
