4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation and Charging
- Align the battery pack with the grooves on the back of the radio and slide it into place until it clicks.
- To charge, connect the USB-C charger cord to the USB Charger Dock and then to a power source. Place the radio with the battery installed into the charging dock.
- Alternatively, the battery can be charged directly via its USB-C port using the USB-C charger cord.
- The LED indicator on the radio will show red during charging and turn green when fully charged. Charging typically takes 4-5 hours.

4.2 Antenna Attachment
Screw the antenna clockwise into the connector on the top of the radio until it is firmly seated. Do not overtighten.
4.3 Belt Clip and Sling Attachment
Attach the belt clip to the back of the radio using the provided screws. The sling can be attached to the designated loop on the radio for convenient carrying.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control
Rotate the Power/Volume knob (top-left knob) clockwise to turn the radio on. Continue rotating to increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and turn off the radio.
5.2 Channel Selection
Rotate the Channel Selector knob (top-right knob) to choose one of the 16 available channels. Ensure all radios in your group are set to the same channel for communication.
5.3 Transmitting and Receiving
- To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone, holding the radio approximately 2-5 cm from your mouth.
- Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and return to receive mode.
- When receiving a signal, the radio will automatically output the audio through its speaker.

5.4 LED Flashlight Operation
Press the dedicated flashlight button (usually located on the side or front) to turn the LED flashlight on or off. This feature is useful in low-light conditions.

5.5 Low Battery Alert
When the battery level is low, the radio will automatically broadcast an alert. Recharge the battery promptly to ensure uninterrupted operation.

- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the radio's surface. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Battery Care: Fully charge the battery before initial use. If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Antenna Care: Avoid bending or twisting the antenna excessively to prevent damage.
- Storage: Store the radio in a dry, dust-free environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
