Setup

Follow these steps to set up your turntable for the first time.

1. Platter and Belt Installation

Ensure the drive belt is correctly looped around the motor pulley and the platter is securely placed on the spindle. Rotate the platter manually several times to ensure the belt is properly seated.

2. Tonearm and Counterweight Adjustment

Careful adjustment of the tonearm and counterweight is crucial for optimal sound quality and to prevent damage to your records and stylus.

  1. Push the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm.
  2. Remove the stylus protector by pulling it straight forward horizontally.
  3. Lower the tonearm lift level and unlock the tonearm.
  4. Position the tonearm between the tonearm rest and the platter.
  5. Adjust the counterweight until the tonearm achieves a neutral balance (floats horizontally).
  6. Without moving the counterweight, gently rotate the tracking force dial to "0".
  7. Rotate the whole counterweight to "2.5" for the recommended tracking force.
  8. Return the tonearm to its rest and lock the tonearm.

Operating Instructions

1. Playing a Vinyl Record

  1. Ensure the turntable is powered on and in "Vinyl" mode.
  2. Place your vinyl record onto the platter.
  3. Select the desired playback speed (33.3 or 45 RPM) using the speed adjustment control.
  4. Unlock the tonearm and gently lift it using the tonearm lift lever.
  5. Carefully position the stylus over the desired track on the record.
  6. Slowly lower the tonearm using the lift lever until the stylus rests on the record.
  7. Adjust the volume to your preference.
  8. When finished, gently lift the tonearm, return it to its rest, and lock it. The turntable will automatically stop spinning after playback.

2. Speed Adjustment

The turntable supports two playback speeds: 33.3 RPM and 45 RPM. Ensure the correct speed is selected to match your vinyl record. The speed can be adjusted without impacting the needle or your records.

3. Bluetooth Connectivity

To connect a Bluetooth device to your turntable:

  1. Switch the turntable to Bluetooth mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
  3. Search for "COOLGEEK VS-01" (or similar) in your device's Bluetooth settings and pair.
  4. Once paired, you can stream audio from your device through the turntable's speakers.

4. Auxiliary Input

The turntable features an auxiliary input for connecting external audio sources via a 3.5mm audio cable. Switch the turntable to AUX mode to use this feature.

5. Auto-Stop Function

The turntable includes an auto-stop function that automatically stops playback when the needle reaches the end of the record. This feature helps protect the stylus from friction damage and extends its lifespan.
