4. Operating Instructions
- Pre-Test Waiting Period: For accurate results, wait at least 20 minutes after consuming alcoholic beverages before performing a test. This allows residual alcohol in the mouth and esophagus to dissipate, preventing inaccurate high readings.
- Warm-up: After powering on, the device will enter a warm-up phase, typically lasting about 15 seconds. Wait for the countdown to complete.
- Perform Test: Once the device indicates it is ready (e.g., displays 'BLOW' or a similar prompt), take a deep breath and blow steadily and continuously into the mouthpiece for 3-5 seconds. Ensure a consistent airflow.
- View Results: The device will process the sample and display your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) on the screen.
- Change Measurement Units: The ACE Q supports multiple measurement units. Press the central button briefly to cycle through available units such as %BAC, ‰BAC, and mg/L.
- Automatic Shut-off: The device is designed to automatically power off after approximately 20 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.
- Data Storage: The device automatically stores the last 10,000 test results, which can be accessed and viewed graphically for tracking purposes.

5. Maintenance
- Mouthpiece Replacement: Always use a clean mouthpiece for each test. Replace mouthpieces regularly, especially if they show signs of wear or damage.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water. Ensure no liquid enters the mouthpiece slot or other openings.
- Calibration: To maintain the high accuracy of the ACE Q Breathalyzer, regular calibration is recommended. It is advisable to have the device calibrated annually by the manufacturer or an authorized service center.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it out of reach of children.

6. Troubleshooting
- Device Not Powering On: Check if the AAA batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure you have waited at least 20 minutes after consuming alcohol. Make sure you are blowing steadily and continuously into the mouthpiece. If inaccuracies persist, the device may require calibration.
- Error Messages: If an error message appears on the screen, refer to the specific error code in the full user manual (if available) or try restarting the device. Ensure the mouthpiece is correctly attached.
