4. Setup and Assembly
The Merach Q1S Rowing Machine requires minimal assembly. Please follow the detailed instructions provided in the separate assembly guide included with your product. Ensure all components are present and undamaged before beginning assembly.
Initial Setup:
- Unpack all components and verify against the packing list.
- Assemble the main frame, seat rail, and footrests as per the assembly guide.
- Install the LCD monitor and connect any necessary cables.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries (included) into the LCD monitor.
- Place the rowing machine on a level surface, ensuring adequate space around it for safe operation.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
- The LCD monitor will automatically power on when you begin rowing or press any button.
- The monitor will power off automatically after a period of inactivity.
5.2 Adjusting Resistance
The Merach Q1S offers 16 levels of magnetic resistance. Adjust the resistance level using the control knob located on the main unit to suit your workout intensity.

5.3 Using the LCD Monitor and App
The integrated LCD monitor displays key workout metrics such as time, distance, calories, and strokes. For an enhanced experience, download the Merach app (available on App Store and Google Play) to access over 1000 courses and games, track progress, and customize fat-burning plans. The monitor is app-compatible and can connect to your device via Bluetooth.

5.4 Rowing Technique
Proper rowing technique is crucial for effectiveness and injury prevention.
- Catch: Sit tall, arms extended forward, knees bent, shins vertical.
- Drive: Push off with your legs, then lean back slightly, pulling the handle towards your abdomen.
- Finish: Legs extended, torso leaned back, handle at your lower ribs.
- Recovery: Extend arms forward, then lean torso forward, and finally bend knees to return to the catch position.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your rowing machine.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the machine with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Rail Cleaning: Periodically clean the dual slide rails with a soft cloth to ensure smooth seat movement.
- Inspections: Regularly check all bolts, nuts, and moving parts for tightness and wear. Tighten as needed.
- Storage: When not in use, the machine can be stored upright to save space. Ensure it is stable and secure in the vertical position.
