Maintenance
To maintain the performance and appearance of your Keychron V10 Max keyboard, follow these guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the keycaps and case with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps using the provided keycap puller and clean the switches and plate with compressed air or a soft brush.
- Switch Replacement: Use the provided switch puller to carefully remove switches. Align new switches correctly before pressing them into the hot-swappable sockets to avoid bending pins.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a dry, dust-free environment.
Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check the connection mode switch (wired, 2.4GHz, Bluetooth) and the OS switch (Windows/macOS) are set correctly. Try connecting via USB-C cable to rule out wireless issues.
- Wireless connection issues: For 2.4GHz, ensure the receiver is securely plugged in and within range. For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode and your device's Bluetooth is enabled. Try re-pairing the device.
- Keys not registering: If specific keys are not working, carefully remove the keycap and switch using the provided tools. Inspect the switch for bent pins or damage. Replace the switch if necessary.
- RGB lighting not working: Check VIA software settings for lighting customization. Ensure the keyboard is not in a low-power mode that disables lighting.
- Firmware Update: If experiencing persistent issues, check the Keychron website for the latest firmware updates and installation instructions.
