Setup
1. Installing the SD Card
The 64GB Micro SD card is typically pre-installed. If not, insert the Micro SD card into the slot on the main dash cam unit until it clicks. Ensure the dash cam is powered off before inserting or removing the SD card.
2. Mounting the Front Dash Cam
- Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam.
- It is recommended to apply an electrostatic film to the windshield first. This allows for easier removal of the dash cam mount later without leaving adhesive residue.
- Attach the adhesive mount to the electrostatic film or directly to the windshield.
- Slide the main dash cam unit onto the pre-installed, removable bracket. The front camera can be rotated 340° for optimal positioning.
3. Mounting the Rear Camera
- Identify a suitable location on your rear windshield, ideally within the range of the rear wiper for clear visibility in adverse weather.
- Clean the area thoroughly.
- Attach the rear camera using an adhesive mount. The rear camera can be rotated 360° for precise angle adjustment.
4. Cable Management
- Connect the car charger to the main dash cam unit's USB-C port and to your vehicle's 12V power outlet.
- Connect the rear camera to the main unit using the provided extension cable.
- Use the included pry tool to tuck the cables neatly along the windshield trim, under the dashboard, and along the vehicle's interior panels. Secure cables with the provided cable clips.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Recording
The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on. It will power off automatically when the ignition is turned off.
2. Video Resolution and Quality
The GKU D900 offers flexible recording options:
- Front Camera Only: Up to 4K 60fps ultra-high definition.
- Dual Recording (Front & Rear): 4K 30fps (front) + 2.5K (rear).
Equipped with an enhanced Sony STARVIS sensor, F1.8 aperture, and a 6-element lens, the dash cam ensures excellent performance in low-light conditions. HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology further improves image clarity, reduces glare, and optimizes contrast for accurate color reproduction.

3. Wi-Fi 5GHz and App Control
Connect your dash cam to your smartphone via the GKU GO app using the integrated 5GHz Wi-Fi for faster preview, download, and sharing of videos. The default Wi-Fi password is 12345678.
- Download the GKU GO app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Turn off your phone's home Wi-Fi, cellular data, and Bluetooth before connecting to the dash cam's Wi-Fi for a stable connection.
- Once connected, you can view live footage, access recorded files, and adjust settings directly from your smartphone.

4. Integrated GPS
The built-in GPS module records your current speed and GPS location, automatically correcting the time via satellite synchronization. This data can be embedded into your video recordings, providing crucial information in case of an incident.

5. G-Sensor and Emergency Recording
The G-Sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording, preserving critical evidence.

6. Loop Recording
The dash cam records video in continuous loops (e.g., 1, 3, or 5-minute segments). When the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked files are automatically overwritten by new recordings, ensuring continuous operation. Pressing the function button once on the front dashcam saves a video to prevent it from being overwritten.

7. Parking Surveillance Modes
The D900 offers two parking monitoring modes:
- Automatic Event Detection: Activates recording upon detecting collisions or vibrations (triggered by the G-sensor).
- Time-lapse Mode: Continuously records video at 1 frame per second, compressing long periods into short, viewable clips.
Note: Both parking surveillance modes require a hardwire kit (not included) for continuous power when the vehicle is off.

Maintenance
1. SD Card Management
- Formatting: It is recommended to format the SD card regularly (e.g., monthly) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can usually be done through the dash cam's menu settings or via the GKU GO app.
- Capacity: The GKU D900 supports Micro SD cards up to 512GB. Ensure you use a Class 10 or higher (U3 recommended) card for reliable 4K video recording.
- Locked Videos: Regularly clear locked videos from your SD card to prevent it from filling up, which can hinder continuous recording.

2. Cleaning
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lenses and the IPS screen. Avoid abrasive materials or chemical cleaners that could damage the surfaces.
- Ensure the windshield area around the cameras is clean for optimal video quality.
3. Supercapacitor Technology
The GKU D900 utilizes a supercapacitor instead of a traditional lithium battery. This provides enhanced durability and reliability, especially in extreme temperatures ranging from -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to 70°C), making it suitable for various climates.

Image: Highlights the supercapacitor technology, demonstrating the dash cam's ability to operate reliably in a wide range of temperatures, from hot deserts to cold snowy environments.
Troubleshooting
- Dash Cam not powering on: Ensure the car charger is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet. Check if the vehicle's 12V outlet is functioning.
- Wi-Fi connection issues: When connecting to the GKU GO app, ensure your phone's home Wi-Fi, cellular data, and Bluetooth are temporarily disabled. The default Wi-Fi password is 12345678.
- Video quality issues (blurry/unclear): Clean the camera lenses and ensure the windshield is clean. Check if the protective film has been removed from the lenses.
- G-Sensor triggering too often: Adjust the G-sensor sensitivity setting in the dash cam's menu or via the app. Lowering the sensitivity can reduce false triggers.
- SD card full/recording stopped: Format the SD card regularly. Ensure you are using a high-quality Class 10 (U3) Micro SD card. Regularly delete locked files that are no longer needed.
- Rear camera not working: Check the connection cable between the main unit and the rear camera to ensure it is securely plugged in.
