2. Safety Information
- Electrical Safety: Always ensure the timer is properly grounded. Do not immerse the timer in water.

4. Initial Setup
Before first use, or after a prolonged period of storage, the internal battery may need charging. Plug the timer into a standard 125VAC outlet for at least 30 minutes to charge the battery. The display should become active.
4.1 Resetting the Timer
To clear all previous settings and reset the timer, use a small pointed object (like a pen tip) to press the RESET button located on the front panel. The display will show '12:00 AM' and 'MO' (Monday).
4.2 Setting Current Time and Day
- Press the CLOCK button once. The current day will flash.
- Press WEEK to select the current day (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU).
- Press HOUR to set the current hour (AM/PM).
- Press MIN to set the current minute.
- Press CLOCK again to confirm and exit time setting mode.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Programming ON/OFF Cycles
The timer allows for up to 8 distinct ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time, which can be set for specific days or groups of days.
- Press the PROG button. The display will show '1 ON' and the time will flash.
- Press WEEK to select the desired day(s) for this program. Options include individual days, weekdays, weekends, or all 7 days.
- Press HOUR and MIN to set the desired ON time.
- Press PROG again. The display will show '1 OFF' and the time will flash.
- Press WEEK, HOUR, and MIN to set the desired OFF time for program 1.
- Repeat steps 1-5 for programs 2 through 8 as needed.
- After setting all desired programs, press the CLOCK button to return to the current time display.

5.2 Manual Override
Press the MANUAL button to cycle through different operating modes: AUTO ON, AUTO OFF, and ON, OFF. In AUTO ON/OFF mode, the timer will follow the programmed settings. In ON mode, the outlets are continuously on. In OFF mode, the outlets are continuously off.
5.3 Daylight Saving Time (DST)
To activate or deactivate Daylight Saving Time, press and hold the HOUR button and then press the MIN button simultaneously. The display will show '+1h' when DST is active, adjusting the time forward by one hour.
5.4 Random (Vacation) Mode
To activate the Random (Vacation) mode, press the R button. The display will show 'RND'. In this mode, the timer will randomly turn connected lights ON and OFF within a set period, simulating occupancy to deter potential intruders. Press R again to deactivate.

6. Installation
The BN-LINK timer is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Its weatherproof construction ensures durability in various conditions.
- Outdoor Mounting: For optimal waterproofing and longevity, mount the timer vertically with the outlets facing downwards. Ensure it is positioned at least 2 feet above the ground.
- Placement: Choose a location that is easily accessible for programming but protected from direct heavy rainfall or standing water.

9. Troubleshooting
- Timer not turning ON/OFF as programmed:
Ensure the timer is in AUTO ON/OFF mode. Verify that the ON/OFF times and days are correctly set in the program. Check the power connection. - Display is blank or dim:
The internal battery may be depleted. Plug the timer into an outlet for at least 30 minutes to charge. If the issue persists, perform a RESET. - Outlets not receiving power:
Check the power source. Ensure the timer is plugged in securely. Verify the operating mode is set to ON or AUTO ON during the programmed ON period.
