Setup and Installation

This section provides general guidance. Professional installation is recommended.

  1. Preparation: Ensure the power supply to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker. Gather necessary tools (screwdriver, drill, wire strippers, etc.).
  2. Mounting Location: Choose a suitable location on a wall, ensuring it is flat and stable. Consider the desired light coverage and motion sensor range.
  3. Install Mounting Bracket: Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark drilling points on the wall. Drill holes and insert wall plugs. Secure the mounting bracket to the wall with screws.
  4. Electrical Connection: Connect the household electrical wires to the corresponding terminals on the light fixture. Ensure proper polarity (Live, Neutral, Ground) as per local wiring codes. Use appropriate waterproof connectors if installing outdoors.
  5. Attach Fixture: Carefully attach the light fixture to the mounting bracket, ensuring all wires are securely tucked away and not pinched. Secure the fixture with any provided screws or fasteners.
  6. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions

1. Motion Sensor Settings

The wall light features an adjustable motion sensor with two main settings:

  • Time Adjustment: This dial controls how long the light stays on after motion is detected. You can set the duration from 5 seconds to 12 minutes. Rotate the dial towards the '+' symbol for a longer duration, and towards '-' for a shorter duration.
  • Light-sensitive Setting (LUX): This dial determines the ambient light level at which the motion sensor becomes active. Rotate towards the 'sun' symbol for the light to operate both day and night. Rotate towards the 'moon' symbol for the light to operate only at night or in darkness.

2. Operating Modes

The light supports two operating modes:

  • Motion Sensor Mode: In this default mode, the light automatically turns on when motion is detected within its range (3-10 meters) and turns off after the set time delay once no further motion is detected.
  • Always-on Mode: To activate this mode, quickly press the wall switch twice consecutively within 2 seconds (OFF-ON-OFF-ON). The wall light will blink 3 times to confirm entry into the always-on mode. To exit this mode and return to motion sensor mode, simply turn the light off and then on again normally.

3. Color Temperature Adjustment

The light offers three color temperature options (3000K, 4000K, 6000K) to suit different preferences and environments. This setting is typically adjusted during installation of the back panel using a dedicated switch or rotary wheel.

  • 3000K Warm White: Provides a cozy and inviting ambiance.
  • 4000K Neutral White: Offers a balanced and natural light, suitable for general illumination.
  • 6000K Cold White: Delivers a bright and crisp light, ideal for task lighting or modern aesthetics.

4. Beam Angle Adjustment

The light fixture allows for flexible adjustment of the light beam direction:

  • Vertical Rotation: The light panel can be rotated up to 240° vertically.
  • Horizontal Rotation: The light panel can be rotated up to 60° to the left and right horizontally.

Adjust the light panel manually to achieve your desired illumination angle.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your GeyouLux LED Wall Light, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or electrical components.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear. If any issues are found, disconnect power and consult a qualified electrician.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: The LED light source is integrated and not replaceable by the user. Do not attempt to open the fixture.
