Setup and Assembly
Before using your immersion blender, ensure all parts are clean and properly assembled.
- Attaching the Blending Arm: Align the blending arm with the motor unit and twist until it locks securely into place.
- Attaching the Wire Whisk: Insert the whisk into the whisk adapter, then align the adapter with the motor unit and twist to lock.
- Attaching the Chopper Bowl: Place the chopping blade onto the central pin inside the chopper bowl. Secure the chopper lid onto the bowl, then align the motor unit with the lid and twist to lock.
Operating Instructions
General Operation
- Plug the appliance into a standard 120V electrical outlet.
- The blender features five variable speeds and a turbo boost function. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust speed.
- Press and hold the power button to operate. Release to stop.
Using the Immersion Blender
Attach the stainless-steel blending arm to the motor unit. This attachment is ideal for blending soups, sauces, and smoothies directly in pots, bowls, or the included beaker.
- Ensure the blending arm is fully submerged in the ingredients before starting.
- Move the blender up and down gently to ensure even blending.
- Avoid operating the blender in an empty container.

Using the Chopping Bowl
Attach the chopper bowl and lid to the motor unit. The stainless-steel blades are designed for efficiently chopping onions, herbs, nuts, and other ingredients.
- Do not overfill the chopper bowl.
- Use short pulses for coarse chopping, and longer pulses for finer results.
- The rubber bottom of the chopper bowl prevents sliding during use.

Using the Wire Whisk
Attach the wire whisk to the motor unit. This attachment is perfect for whipping eggs, egg whites, and cream to achieve light and airy textures.
- Use in a deep bowl to prevent splashing.
- Start at a lower speed and gradually increase as needed.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your SMEG HBF03 Handheld Immersion Blender. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Motor Unit: Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water.
- Blending Arm, Chopper Bowl, Whisk: These detachable parts can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.
