Key components include the handle, anti-scalding wooden lid, glue bucket (50ml/150ml options), anti-scalding cover, clamp, gluing roller, stand, and the external temperature controller unit with its fuse and power switch.

  • Handheld Gluing Machine: Main unit with heating element and glue roller assembly.
  • Glue Storage Bucket: Container for the hot melt adhesive. Available in 50ml or 150ml capacity.
  • Gluing Roller: Brass roller with chrome-plated shaft for applying glue.
  • Anti-Scalding Handle: Made of POM for thermal insulation and durability.
  • Anti-Scalding Wooden Lid: Covers the glue bucket opening.
  • Temperature Controller: External unit with digital display for precise temperature management.
  • Stand: Base for resting the machine when not in active use.
  • Glue Rollers (4 sizes): Interchangeable rollers for different glue line widths.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging.
  2. Assemble Stand: Place the handheld gluing machine onto its designated stand.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the temperature controller into a suitable power outlet. Ensure the machine's power cable is securely connected to the controller.
  4. Select Glue Roller: Choose the appropriate glue roller size (e.g., 3mm, 5mm, 8mm, 10mm for 50ml kit or 20mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm for 150ml kit) for your application and ensure it is properly installed in the machine's clamp.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Temperature Control

The machine features a digital PID temperature controller for precise heating.

Image 3: Detailed view of the digital temperature controller. It displays the real-time heating temperature and the set temperature value. Controls include temperature setting adjustments, a setting switch, a mobile adjustment button, a fuse, and the main power switch.

  1. Power On: Flip the main switch on the temperature controller to the 'ON' position. The digital display will illuminate.
  2. Set Temperature: Use the temperature setting adjustment buttons (up/down arrows) to set the desired heating temperature. The recommended temperature for most hot melt glues is typically between 150-180℃, but always refer to your glue's specifications.
  3. Monitor Temperature: The digital display shows the current temperature in real-time. Wait for the machine to reach the set temperature before adding glue.

5.2. Glue Application

Follow these steps for effective glue application:

Three-step process for using the hot melt glue roller machine: 1. Adjusting temperature, 2. Filling glue into the bucket, 3. Applying glue to material.

Image 4: Step-by-step guide for operating the glue machine. Step 1 shows adjusting the temperature on the controller. Step 2 illustrates filling the glue storage bucket with hot melt adhesive. Step 3 demonstrates applying glue to a material by rolling the machine back and forth.

  1. Heat Machine: After connecting power, adjust the temperature to a suitable level for your hot melt adhesive. Generally, aim for 150-180℃.
  2. Fill Glue Bucket: Once the machine reaches the set temperature, carefully fill the glue storage bucket with hot melt adhesive. Do not overfill; approximately two-thirds full is sufficient.
  3. Apply Glue: Position the material you wish to glue. Gently press the machine's gluing roller onto the material and move it back and forth to apply an even layer of glue. For straight lines, a wooden strip can be used as a guide.

5.3. Changing Glue Rollers

The machine supports different roller sizes for varied glue line widths.

Images showing four different glue roller sizes: 3mm, 5mm, 8mm, and 10mm, for the 50ml glue bucket kit.

Image 5: Illustration of the four different glue roller sizes available for the 50ml glue bucket kit: 3mm (0.11in), 5mm (0.19in), 8mm (0.31in), and 10mm (0.39in). These rollers are interchangeable to achieve different glue line widths.

  1. Power Off and Cool Down: Turn off the machine and allow it to cool completely before attempting to change rollers.
  2. Remove Current Roller: Carefully loosen the clamp holding the current gluing roller and remove it.
  3. Insert New Roller: Place the desired roller size into the clamp and secure it firmly. Ensure it rotates freely.
  4. Resume Operation: Once the new roller is securely in place, you can power on the machine and resume operation.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, and once the machine has cooled down, carefully clean any residual glue from the roller and the glue bucket. Use a non-abrasive tool to scrape off hardened glue. Do not use solvents that may damage the machine's components.
  • Storage: Store the machine in a dry, clean, and safe place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord, plug, and all machine components for any signs of damage or wear. Do not operate if damaged.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Machine does not power on.No power supply; Fuse blown; Power switch off.Check power outlet and connections; Replace fuse if necessary; Ensure power switch is ON.
Glue not melting or heating slowly.Incorrect temperature setting; Insufficient warm-up time.Adjust temperature to recommended setting for your glue; Allow sufficient time for heating (5-10 minutes).
Uneven glue application.Roller dirty or damaged; Incorrect pressure; Glue too thick.Clean or replace roller; Apply even, consistent pressure; Ensure glue is fully melted and at correct temperature.
Glue leaks from machine.Glue bucket overfilled; Machine tilted; Component not sealed correctly.Do not overfill glue bucket; Keep machine upright; Check for proper assembly and sealing of parts.
