3.2 Diopter Adjustment (Crosshair Clarity)

To ensure a clear reticle image, adjust the diopter to match your vision. This is important for both nearsighted and farsighted users.

  1. Rotate the eyepiece clockwise to loosen the locking ring.
  2. Look through the scope at a plain, bright background (like a wall or clear sky).
  3. Rotate the eyepiece until the crosshair appears sharp and clear to your eye.
  4. Once the crosshair is clear, rotate the locking ring counter-clockwise to fix the position of the eyepiece.
Instructions for adjusting the crosshair diopter: rotate clockwise to loosen locking ring, rotate eyepiece to match vision, rotate locking ring counter-clockwise to fix position.

4. Operating the Scope

4.1 Magnification Adjustment

The scope features a variable 3-9x magnification. To change the magnification, rotate the power ring located near the eyepiece. Turn it to the desired magnification setting (3x, 4x, 5x, etc., up to 9x).

4.2 Windage and Elevation Adjustment

The scope has external adjustment turrets for windage (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) corrections. Each click of the turret adjusts the point of impact by 1/4 inch at 100 yards.

  • Elevation Turret: Located on top of the scope. Rotate to adjust vertical aim.
  • Windage Turret: Located on the right side of the scope. Rotate to adjust horizontal aim.

After making adjustments, it is recommended to zero your scope at your preferred distance.

4.3 Lens Technology

The scope features fully multi-coated blue objective lenses. This coating enhances light transmission, reduces glare, and improves image clarity and brightness, especially in low-light conditions.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your scope.

  • Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth or lens brush to remove dust. For smudges, use a lens cleaning solution and a clean lens cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cleaning Body: Wipe the scope's body with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Storage: Store the scope in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided lens covers to protect the lenses when not in use.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and mounts for tightness.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your scope, consider the following common solutions:

  • Unclear Reticle: Perform the diopter adjustment as described in Section 3.2.
  • Unclear Target Image: Adjust the magnification ring. Ensure lenses are clean.
  • Inaccurate Shots: Verify the scope is securely mounted and zeroed correctly. Check for loose components.
  • Fogging: While the scope is designed to be fog-resistant, extreme temperature changes can sometimes cause temporary external fogging. Allow the scope to acclimate to the temperature.
