3. Setup
3.1 Charging and Installing the Battery
- Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use. Connect the charger to a power outlet and insert the battery pack. The charger indicator will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 60 minutes for the 2.0Ah battery.
- Once charged, slide the battery pack into the base of the nailer until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

3.2 Loading Nails or Staples
- Ensure the battery is removed for safety.
- Press the magazine release button and pull the magazine open.
- Insert a strip of 18 gauge brad nails or 1/4" crown staples into the magazine channel. Ensure the fasteners are oriented correctly with the points facing forward.
- Push the magazine closed until it latches securely.

3.3 Adjusting Depth of Drive
The tool features a tool-free depth adjustment wheel to control how deep the fasteners are driven into the material.
- Locate the depth adjustment wheel near the nose of the tool.
- Rotate the wheel to increase or decrease the driving depth. Test on a scrap piece of material to achieve the desired depth.

4. Operating the Tool
4.1 Selecting Firing Mode
The NEU MASTER nailer offers two working modes: Single Firing and Contact Firing.
- Single Firing Mode: For precise placement of individual fasteners. Press the safety pole against the workpiece, then pull the trigger.
- Contact Firing Mode (Bump Firing): For rapid fastening. Hold the trigger, then press the safety pole against the workpiece to fire.

4.2 Using the Safety Pole
The safety pole is a critical feature designed to prevent accidental firing. The tool will only fire when the safety pole is fully depressed against the workpiece.

4.3 LED Work Light
The integrated LED light illuminates the work area, improving visibility in dimly lit conditions. It also serves as a diagnostic indicator (see Troubleshooting section).

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your NEU MASTER nailer.
- Cleaning: Keep the tool clean and free of dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Magazine Inspection: Periodically check the magazine for any obstructions or damage. Ensure it opens and closes smoothly.
- Fastener Compatibility: Always use 18 gauge brad nails (5/8" to 2") or 18 gauge 1/4" crown staples (5/8" to 1-3/4"). Using unsuitable fasteners can cause jams and damage the tool.
- Storage: Store the tool and battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the battery from the tool before storage.
