5. Setup and Installation

The VEVOR Underbody Truck Box can be installed on various vehicles such as trucks, trailers, and vans. Ensure you measure your vehicle's underbody space before purchasing to confirm compatibility. Brackets for installation are not included and must be purchased separately.

Installation Steps:

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Box for Drilling

Place the truck box in the desired mounting location. Mark the positions for drilling holes on the top surface of the box where it will connect to the mounting brackets. Ensure these marks align with your chosen bracket system.

  2. Step 2: Drill Holes on the Vehicle Underbody

Carefully drill corresponding holes at the marked positions on the vehicle's underbody or frame. It is crucial to ensure these holes are accurately aligned with the holes drilled on the truck box for a secure fit. Note: Turn off the vehicle's power before drilling to prevent short circuits.

  3. Step 3: Mount the Truck Box

Position the truck box against the vehicle's underbody, aligning the drilled holes. Insert and tighten the screws or bolts through the box and into the mounting brackets/vehicle frame. Ensure all fasteners are securely tightened to prevent movement during operation.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your VEVOR Underbody Truck Box.

  • Cleaning: Clean the exterior and interior of the box periodically with a mild detergent and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent water spots.
  • Seal Inspection: Regularly check the rubber sealing strip around the door for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. A compromised seal can lead to water ingress. Replace the seal if necessary to maintain waterproof integrity.
  • Latch Lubrication: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the T-handle latch mechanism annually to ensure smooth operation and prevent seizing.
  • Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all mounting hardware for tightness. Vibrations during driving can loosen fasteners over time. Tighten any loose bolts or screws to maintain a secure installation.
